| Q-Tip Leo swallowed a Q-tip (I think) so I thought I'd come here to get advice. Should I be concerned? He is sort of wiggling his jaw and I tried to see if it is in his throat, but he seems just fine (playing, barking, licking ) Will he just pass it later? HE EATS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrr

| Did he eat the entire thing? How do you think he did? Not to sound rude, but I would definately call your vet rather than relying on online help.

| Eeeeeek! I don't know either but knowing me, I would call my vet and ask. Q Tips are pretty big compared to the size of our little yorkies. I would hate for it to get caught in his little system somewhere and cause you both problems. It's always better to be safe especially in situations like this.

| I don't have any knowledgeable advice but if my Toto had swallowed a Q-Tip, she would be at the ER. Hope your little one will be OK. Please keep us updated.

| I would definitly call a vet, or emergency vet if your vet isn't open. I remember awhile ago on here someone posted about there dog eating a qtip and got pretty sick from it.

| Definitely call the vet! It could get stuck as it goes further down his throat.

| If you have an emergency clinic, as everyone said, I would definitely go ahead and call. And make sure to let them know if it was one that had the plastic or was all cardboard. I would think the plastic would definitely be more dangerous. Good luck - let us know.

| I would definitely at least call the vet to see what they say. If he swallowed the whole thing, that seems pretty dangerous to me.

| Eeeeekkkk! I am so sorry this happened to you and your baby. Intestines do not go in straight lines so I don't see how it couldn't get lodged. A q-tip is pretty long. As everyone has said, I know you need to contact your vet...I would consider it an emergency. Actually, a life and death situation. In my opinion. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I agree with the others, call your vet. Was it the plastic type of q-tip or the cardboard? Hope everything works out fine.
