How do you keep them still?

You would never know Maximus just had surgery...he is running anf jumping everywhere......grrr!!! I am sitting with him and he turns and jumps..this is not good for 2 reasons a)he just had surgery and b) he has diarheaa this morning so poop everywhere OH!!! and I forgot a thrid reason ...he is at work with me. My bf had to go to the hopsital with his grandmother so I took Maximus to work with me and he is driving me insane...lol, the vet this morning gave me the accurate painkiller but he told me not to give it unless he was in obvious discomfort....he ate through the onsie basically in an attempt to get to his incision (he is soo stubborn)...so he is walking around with his ecollar because everytime I take it off he tries to run to a corner to lick the wound...grrrr..again..lol

Sounds like you have your hands full. lol. I think the only way to keep him still is maybe a small kennel or even a harness with a short leash. It's pretty impressive that your work allows you to bring your puppy in with you. I'm glad he's feeling better after surgery.

Thanks...that is my fault I didn't think to bring his crate although I do have his harness and leash...I did bring his bed, 10 toys, food, treats, a brush, a blanket and tons of other pointless stuff????

I'm so glad to hear that Maximus is being simply "Maximus" ...lol I'm so glad he did good with his surgery-

Hang in there..he will settle down...poor guy ...must look sad with his e/collar on...you will have to share a pic...

That's great that Maximus is doing well!! You were so worried yesterday about his surgery. Maxi came back from surgery as well (getting spayed and removing 2 hernias and getting 2 baby teeth pulled). She has a 5 inch incision down her belly.. it is soooooo huge!! She is very weak right now . I don't know if it is because she is in pain, or because she is out of it since I gave her painkillers. All she does is just lay there. She doesn't eat ANYTHING maybe b/c her teeth hurt. I had to force feed her this morning with a syringe. I just want her to be back to her normal playful self.

I am sorry to hear that she is feeling so crappy ;( .....the first thing Maximus wnated when he got out of it was food..because he is such a porker, everyone was shocked....it is harder on the girl but I am sure she will bounce right back!!

Coco and I are glad to hear that Maximus is doing well. We're glad he's back to his porker self. I feel so satisfied when I see Coco pig out and just eat, so I know you must be proud. I'm just nervous about Coco's surgery now
