I paid $955 (shipping included). She came from a wonderful breeder in Arkansas to Massachusetts. |
Prudence was $400 :) |
Rex was $800. I went to pick him up! |
You get what you pay for While there appears to be some price variation attributable to geographic area, I believe most of it is due to breeding quality. The puppies from hobby breeders who show are generally from champion bloodlines and will always cost more than those from "back yard breeders" and puppy mills. Look at an $800 Yorkie standing next to a $2000 one and you will most likely see the difference in quality. |

2 Attachment(s) Roxy -my precious little princess - $900 - purchased in Myrtle Beach from a lady that was just breeding her own pets. We moved and she never sent her papers and wouldn't respond to my phone calls or emails. She is a hole digging, soccer playing, minaical tomboy who is usually coated in dirt, mud, twigs and grass. Remington - my huggly, snuggly little boy - $1300 - purchased from a YT breeder who was in PA at the time and has several generations of many champions, including Rothby's Renegade. He is very fru-fru and totally "one nugget short of a Happy Meal:D". They are both headed for a bath right now - Roxy was out in the rain digging holes and Remi was out there sitting in them:rolleyes:. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...-digging-2.jpg http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...-digging-3.jpg |
Rosi was $1000 and Apollo $1800 |

ROFL!!!! I absolutely LOVE those descriptions!! they sound SO perfect for these furry critters!! lol love it!!;) |
Beau was $450 (someone in my town had two yorkies that she never got around to spaying/neutering and they had a litter...go figure right?) Lexie was $620 including payment for half of the travel (I met the breeder/fellow yter half way between our houses.) Truth be told, I will be paying a LOT more for my next yorkie. I love the look of the nice coat and I've had a lot of medical issues with both, so I'm hoping that the more I look into a breeder and the more expensive the pup, the better the chances of a healthier pup. |
cost I got Bella from a sweet lady. She came with a pet taxi, kennel, leash, food bowl for 400.00. It is the best money I have ever spent. She is registered also! |
