Special moments with your yorkie

[Archie's Mom]

I call it Archie's "Mommy and Me Time": In the mornings I like to sit in my sun room which is a very tranquil place in my home. Archie likes to perch on my shoulder and look out the window, snooze, or play with his chew bone. Sometimes he goes and lays in what I call "Archie's Sunbeam," on the floor, where there is a shaft of sunlight. It's just a really sweet time away from the rest of the day where Archie and I are the only two in the world.

Oh -- I forgot another special moment: First thing in the morning, when it's time to get up, he likes to wiggle around on the top of the bed on this knitted afghan we have. I call it his "wigglin' spree" and sing a little song to him: "I'm on a wigglin' spree. Won't you wiggle with me?" (I think this is from a Jell-O commercial!). When he's wiggling I just kis him all over and rub his tummy and pull his little pork-chop legs! He looks so happy!

our special moment is in the middle of the night or early morning when
lexi comes and curles up right into the crevous of my body, listening to
my heart beat and every breath i take...

Our special time is from 6:30-7:00am after walking and feeding Buddy.
I have my two cups of coffee sitting on the LR floor with him playing.
I have done this since he was a puppy. I read that if you leave you dog
alone during the day you must take the time in the am and make it special for them. He loves this time with me and I with him.

When I come home at night all three of the dogs are excited to see me and all three take turns giving Mommy hello kisses and getting hello pats. After that Adie insist on being carried wherever I go for about 10 or 15 minutes. I usually carry her and kiss her shoulder and neck over and over. She is so still and so sweet for that little bit of time. It feels like she is thinking how everything is right with the world now.

Oh we have so many special moments! After Maxi gives lots of kisses to mommy he looks at me silently and I just feel that he is saying I love you mommy! I say it right back and he gives more kisses

We go to the park and sit by the water and just enjoy each others company

Maxi loves the brushing time! When I brush him he turns from one side to another and then on his back and on his tummy as if he is telling me ok mommy now brush this side and now brush that side For both of us it is a bonding moment.

There are more but this is the first that comes to mind.

Ittybit is a cuddle bug. But my fav time is bed time..Ill turn the tv off and she runs for the bedroom. Then waits on the bed for me to get in. When i do I lift the covers and under she goes. She will lay right next to me and put her head on my chest for me to pet her for a few mins. Then I say "good night daddy loves you" she knows that means its time to go to sleep. So she turns around and cuddles up and sleeps.

When my alarm goes off she always jumps out of bed but if i hit the snooze button she will jump back up...put her face really really close to mine and stare at me...if i don't move she will get back under the cover...if i do move just alittle shell make me get up lol

Good topic! Mornings before getting out of bed have become one of my favorite special moments with Jack. At night, Eddie sleeps curled up next to my wife's head and Jack sleeps at her feet. Why? Because she has a heating blanket. Jack curls up under the blanket and sleeps like a lamb.

But she gets up before me and turns off the blanket. Lately, Jack has been taking that as his cue to come over to my side and curl up next to me. He's become a serious snuggler. I don't want to get out of bed.

Nighttime is Eddie's and my special moment. He waits for me to come home from work at 1 in the morning and we play for an hour or so. When it's bedtime, he's still wound up so he comes over to me and tries licking me on the face. I then brush his teeth, which he loves, and it's bedtime and he moves over to my wife's side of the bed.
