What a sweet guy to do that!!
I think I would be a bit miffed if I read that on a med bottle.. Exspecially with a wrong name.. Did you call the vet? Just curious as to what he had to say.. Keep us posted.. Hugs to your little one!

YUP...they are closed (not my regular vet)...so I have to wait till 8:30 tommorrow morning before I can say anything to them ;( ...but I called my normal vet and I left a message of what happened and I will be going by there tommorrow at 8 to try and get real pain meds for Maximus

I would be bloody well annoyed at the wrong name on the medication.Make sure you voice you disaproval. hope your babe is okay.

That was so nice of your BF. It is great that he loves Maximus as much as you. Im so happy that he is fine after the surgery and back to his old self. I can't believe that they made a mistake with the pain meds. Yes, contact your vet as soon as you can.

yikes, I paid $140 to my vet for neutering, bloodwork, pain meds and collar. Romeo had no external stitches or bandage. Glad to hear he's a happy camper!! Romeo was winey the night of but the next morning his regular old self....I was told to keep him quiet and no bath for a week, then back for a checkup which was fine.

Ooops sorry, I missed the part about the wrong name, but I do know a lot of vets will give a small dog a kitten dose of pain med. that's all I meant..

We are SOOOO happy Maximus is bouncing off the walls and acting like himself. I sure wouldn't give him any meds just in case they gave you the wrong ones. (Since the name is wrong and we know he's not a feline)
On a different note, I can't believe what you all have to pay for vet service. My sister had her dog neutered last week and it was $35. I don't think I could afford to live in NY. lol
