| Hi i'm new here can anyone help me?? Hi my name is Natasha i am 22 yeard old and from the UK!! I have a little boy yorkie called Bailey and he is nearly 6 months old now. He is little my little baby, follows me around the house the minute i sit down he curls up on me and goes to sleep. He is always after kisses an cuddles, i can even take him out in the car and he sits on the seat next to me and goes to sleep. . He is 6lbs and i am wondering if he will grow any bigger? and what age do they stop growing? He has just had his manhood off yesterday as my partner has a girl dog (not a yorkie) and i was worried about when she came into heat. Has anyone has this done to there little boy? How are they recovering and did u see any change in them? Thanks Natasha and Bailey |

| Hi, and welcome to yorkietalk! Congrats on your little guy! Having your boy fixed was the right thing. We've always gotten our boys neutered and I've never noticed what I would call a personality change. Perhaps it helps with marking. As far as growing, Ginger and Bernie were both close to full grown at a year, but continued to "fill out" until they were almost 2 years old.

| Hi and welcome to YT! Sorry, I can't help you either. My little guy isn't fixed. Altho, my lab is fixed and he did gain some weight but other than that, hes the same as always...He doesn't mark either and is more mellow...

| welcome to YT! The majority of the boys here are neutered -- it's the smart thing to do for many reasons.

| Hi, and welcome! Your little boy will be just fine. We had Scooter neutered at 6 months and he's done just fine. You'll probably have less trouble with marking in your home too! Good luck with your baby! |

| Hi and Welcome to YT!! Although I don't have any boys.. everyone around me does.. and I've never noticed any type of change in them. Kayah, my older one, is not spayed... but Evie, the puppy, will be getting spayed very soon... I too, worry that she will have the personality change.. but it's the best thing to do.. although my two don't come around many dogs and even if they do.. I still watch them even if the male is neutered. From what I know, generally, the healing time is about two weeks.. Good Luck. Please post pictures. And again, Welcome to YT!
