| Dallas Needs your help TX-RPOA E-News From Responsible Pet Owners Alliance, the reasonable voice regarding animal issues in Texas. Responsible Pet Owners Alliance is an animal welfare organization, not "animal rights" and, yes, there is a difference. Permission granted to crosspost. April 17, 2008 Take 5 minutes or less! Dallas needs your help. With one click of the mouse, you can send an email to all Dallas, Texas, city officials. Place "Oppose Chapter 7 Animal Ordinance Revisions" in the subject line. Send one every week or as often as possible. Thanks to the North Carolina Responsible Animal Owners Alliance for placing the Dallas Action Alert on their webpage: Texas Alert-Oppose proposed mandatory spay neuter in Dallas Texas Now it's up to you. What passes in Texas doesn't stay in Texas! There are many talking points on the website that can be copied and pasted into emails. But keep it short. This is a "pet" issue, not a "breeder" or "purebred" issue. The Dallas proposal clearly demonstrates the Animal Rights Agenda to end all breeding of pets. Where will future pets come from? Dallas Animal Shelter Director Willie McDaniel has publicly stated Breeder Permits will not be issued in residentially zoned areas of the city. Rumor is there are some changes being made to the proposal as we speak. Shades of California's AB 1634! So please paste this at the top of your emails: "We oppose all Chapter 7 Animal Ordinance Revisions as written and as may be amended in the future. This ordinance is fundamentally flawed and cannot be fixed with amendments."
