| Rylie fell off the couch I left the house for a little over an hour, and when I got back Lacy was waiting for me at the door...which normally they both are. My couch is in front of two big windows in the living room..and backs up right to the window sills (which are just right above the floor). I could see and hear the blinds moving, and I realized Rylie had fallen off the couch on to the window sills and couldn't get out! I ran over there and pulled him up...I was so afraid he had hurt himself and wasn't sure how long he'd been down there. Luckily he was fine! Lacy fell off the couch once like that too but I was home and pulled her back up and she was fine. I swear...these babies can scare you to death. Luckily, neither one were hurt.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh, Michele, scary! So glad he is okay. Ya know, no matter how much you "proof" your house, there will always be stuff like this, it seems. But it is so scary, I know. Hugs to the gang.

| Glad Rylie is okay! We've had instances of falling off the bed and couch too, gave us quite a scare each time! Good thing Rylie is a tough cookie! |

| I am so glad Rylie is okay. A coworker of mine has a toy poodle. She had gone out and when she returned home, her dog was shaking and crying. She took him to the vet and they gave him pain pills. They guessed that he was waiting for her to come home, looking out the window from the back of the couch, and fell. He was fine the next day. Conner always gets on the back of the couch to look at who is outside. When he barks, his whole body moves and I am always afraid he will fall. So far (knock on wood) we have had no accidents.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Oh my gosh Michele...this is too weird! The SAME exact thing happened to Stedman about 2 days ago. Hubby and I left the house for about an hour also and when we were walking up to the door to come inside, we could hear Stedman barking (that's normal lol) - but usually he and Tatum are both standing at the door waiting to greet us when we walk in. Well, we got inside and Tatum was there but no Stedman We still heard him barking and we were looking everywhere for him but couldn't find him. Well my couch is sort of catty-corner in the living room with a big window behind it and Stedman always lays on the back of the couch (and he walks on it too - like he is walking the plank ) well obviously he had fallen back there and there was absolutely no way for him to get out The poor little guy! I bet Tatum was freaking out too because she couldn't get to her brother, lol. I'm sure Stedman thought that mommy and daddy were never going to rescue him! Poor thing...I felt sooo awful! Luckily though, he wasn't hurt at all! WHEW. Thank God Rylie is ok too! These babies can really scare the heck out of you, that's for sure!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | This happen to Joey before, but I was home. He too was wedged between couch and window, he wasn't hurt either, but sure gave us a scare. I worry so much when we are gone. I know many people keep them in their kennel/crate when they're gone, but I haven't been able to do that yet. Glad he's ok.
