| Is it normal for our dogs to drink large quanities of water at a time? I dont hardly ever notice my baby drinking water, but when I do, like tonight she drinks and drinks and drinks...like she is dehydrated. I guess I need to really watch for this more closely and consider telling the vet if it continues. I just wonder if anyone else has a dog that does this. |

| Sometimes Sass seems like she isn't drinking enough, but that could be because she naps a lot during the day. When she wakes us from her naps and is ready to play she plays hard and then runs over and drinks, what seems like a lot of water, and then comes back for more play and tires herself out for her next nap. I would just keep an eye on her and if you think something doesn't seem right make a call to the vet.

| I think like people, sometimes they have thirsty days and other days not so much.

| odd to find this post this morning,, as we use a Drinkwell water fountain here,, and generally i'll add to it once a day,, and for the past 2 days i've added to it SEVERAL times thru the day,, all 3 drinking like there's no tomorrow!!! eating the same,, so I'm guessing its a Springtime ,, pollen,, thing,, I dunno they all seem perfectly fine,, and the fountain is good,, not leaking anywhere,, they are just drinking lots!! but then i think i drank a lot more myself,, maybe just the weather..?
