Tea Cup Yorkshire Terrier RAFFLE http://www.staryorkie.com/ Found here: http://www.nextdaypets.com/directory...abb7-7552.aspx Quote:
That's something that I personally have never seen before. I wonder how much they're going to make from people buying a ticket? I wonder if it's legit? Regardless, they are selling "some of the best looking Tea cup Yorkshire terriers, Pomeranians and Maltese puppies." Looks like a puppy mill to me! :thumbdown Oh, and you can't see pictures of the Sire or Dam. Quote:

That's disgusting and repulsive. How sad for those little babies. Notice how many she has available! That must be a baby factory there. :thumbdown |
There was all ready a thread on this http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ghlight=raffle |
I researched them (and dismissed them quickly) when I first started looking for breeders in California. They are terrible (in my opinion). |
Is this for real? How repulsive. What kind of person would want to obtain a puppy in this manner? |
So sad.... *SIGH*..... :( This is a life, not a raffle price! AWFUL!!! :thumbdown Tammy |
Can we all say, "PUPPY MILL"?? This is sick!! I looked at the website and in very tiny print under that picture for the raffle, it says (I listed it in RED!!) Participation Fee: $ 5 http://www.staryorkie.com/images/pup...0Gol%20(2).jpg The puppy in the picture is not the one who will be given away! If you look under FAQS it also says this: Are your puppies registered? Yes. All of our puppies are registered with the KDF (Korean Dog Federation). The registration certificate you will get for your new baby has info such as- D.O.B, breed, color, 3 generations of registered sires and dams and more. We usually get the papers for the puppies about 3-4 weeks after the puppies arrive. If your new puppy’s papers were not available for you at the time of pickup it will be mailed to you via U.S.P.S certified mail as soon as they arrive. What is the difference between KDF/KMA and AKC? The KDF and the KMA are the equivalent to the AKC in Korea. KDF – Korean Dog Federation and KMA - Korean Migyun Association are doing in Korea exactly what the AKC – American Kennel Club is doing in the U.S. They collect and document canine litter information. All together, the information you get on the puppy on both certificates is the same. In both cases you know your puppy came from a known purebred family. The rest of the differences are like the differences between Washington Mutual and Bank of America. Two companies that are doing the same thing. Can you send me pictures of the parents? No. The puppy’s parents are back in Korean with Gina’s family, and unfortunately we cannot provide their pictures. For all nursery questions regarding puppy’s nursing and care – we will make sure you know everything you need to know and have everything you need to have ready for your new baby before you leave our nursery or get your new puppy. For now we recommend you to go over out Tea-cup tips. You might find the answers to your questions there. And if not, and you still want to know, feel free to email or call us and we will be happy to talk BUYER BEWARE!!!:thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown This screams PUPPY MILL to me!! |
This is awful! :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown Whats next, people will give away kids for a ruffle ticket? |
I saw these threads and they just made me sick! I couldn't find any words to type it was so disgusting. |

It seems to be the new thing now - getting puppies from other countries. I heard Russia was becoming big for shipping puppies out. I know quite a few stores/brokers are getting from Brazil. They all seem to use the same line "We get them from our family who have a farm and raise blah blah blah." It's a puppymill believe me and if you think the dogs suffer here imagine them in a country where there aren't even laws to protect people let alone animals. Elaine |
I might be totally off, but I think that that might be a scam. I mean, imagine how many people they're getting money from. I don't think there actually is a dog. Maybe that's just me. Regardless, that's a sick idea and who knows who's going to end up "winning" that poor puppy. He is such a cutie. |
there are a LOT of puppy scams going on right now with adds like people are moving permanently out of the country and all they want you to pay is the plane ticket yet you western union the money. |
The Reason Behind This -- "hits" This is a sick way for a new WEB SITE to increase the "HITS" (Traffic) to their site. The more "clicks" to this "FREE GIVEAWAY"?? site. Bumps up their listing on the search engines(Yahoo,Goggle, ect..) Then when someone does a search--up types in "STAR------".com Not mention they will be making $$$$ on the tickets to pay for the hosting and more. THIS SCREAMS SCAM!!!! I'm sure this "GIVEAWAY PUPPY" will be given to a close friend for photo shots--then given back. Look at the prices... NO ONE charging these fees is going to GIVEAWAY A FREE PUPPY. They do not list the age? :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown |
Write a email to Google, yahoo and paypal.... attach this FREE GIVEAWAY site to your email... Do not be to nasty!! Remeber you attract more bees with honey. Just, ask them if this is legal?? What proof is there-- a puppy will really be given? |
I think they will give it away they will make a killing on this most people will say whats 5 dollars so they have no reason not to and if they make a lot they will do it monthly |
People need to be educated and made aware that there is no such thing as a pocket size Yorkie at 12 weeks. There is no guarentee that the pup will stay small. Teacup or Pocket size are red letter words and need to be avoided when looking for a puppy. |
Thats sickening:( :thumbdown  |

No, the puppy has to be over 8 weeks because it has to be that old to fly. |
It looked like from the nextdaypets link that it will be 8 weeks when the raffle is over, but that would mean its less than 5 weeks now, and who knows how old when this whole thing started. I'm sure they do have the parents and just don't want to show them, but I was just pointing out the stupidity of their reason why they don't have any pictures. |
Sad That screams "scam" to me, too: the picture isn't the puppy that will be "given away" for a $5 ticket, no pictures of the parents, and the dog's from another country. If it's real, then it's a terrible situation for the dogs. I wish we could do something to stop this kind of thing. Even if we manage to get scammers banned from online selling sites, they just crop up again on others, or on the same ones under different names. I've reported a few where the dog was coming from Africa and the sellers were only asking for the plane fare -- major scam. They were removed from the site in question, but a few days later, I saw the same thing on another site. No idea how to stop that. |
Star Yorkie Kennel's respond! 1 Attachment(s) Hi Guys, It's me Ben from Star Yorkie Kennel. First of all I must say i am very impressed with the publicity of our small promotion. I never thought it will become so famous. When we started it, the idea was really to allow one person to have a puppy they wouldn’t normally be able to afford. So we thought, if everyone will cheap in, one lucky person will have the best day in their life when they will find out they won a tiny puppy. I must say at this point that we have already reached our original asking price for the puppy and from know on all the additional income from this campaign will be donated to different rescue teams. Now, as far as the person who will win. No need to say we will not let anyone have any of our babies without making sure they will be a responsible dog owner, and this goes not only for the puppy we will give away but also for every other puppy we will have for adoption. If anyone has more questions about anything that we do we will be more then happy to answer all your questions via email. Email: puppies@staryorkie.com I think it is better to get answers than raising stupid suspicions. Good Luck everyone! Ben Ashel Star yorkie Kennel www.staryorkie.com P.S If you would like to be removed from our email list please email us with the subject : Remove Thanks, :) |

Well Ben you said to ask questions so here is my question. Can we see pictures of the mothers and fathers of these dogs? Ya have to wonder how big the moms being bred are to be producing such tiny babies. Also, why would you purposely breed for such small babies. Isn't the standard 5-7 pounds small enough? Never mind pictures of the moms I see they come from Korea. I guess you're going to tell me that you have family that live there and they breed them right? That seems to be the big thing lately. I see them coming from Brazil and from Russia etc. and it's funny because all of those selling from other countries seem to have family that breed. I've also been told by the same people that the parents live lavishly on their family's farm and are treated like kings and queens. Elaine |

"If you see an available puppy that you like we recommend to you to take action. We have a lot of families that are interested in our babies so they are going pretty fast. You can put a puppy on hold with a $250 deposit. Just click the Pay-Pal link on the puppy's listing and that will take you to a Pay-Pal page; you can use your Pay-Pal account or just your credit card. Only in the first 48 hrs you can still change your mind and use the deposit for a different available puppy or a place on our waiting list. From the time you left the deposit you get 7 days to arrange payment and pick-up / shipping. If more time is needed you can use our baby sitting service for only $25 / day. The deposit is non refundable." Elaine |
