| Amber Alert for lost pets Not sure if this is the right section I can post this but I thought this may help someone. This is not my website nor am I affiliated with them, I received it through an email and just wanted to spread the word. Thanks. Website Launches Amber Alerts For Missing Pets POSTED: 7:30 am PST February 26, 2008 http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik...877048a25f9778 BRENTWOOD, Ca;lif. -- Inspired by the Amber Alert system to locate missing children, an East Bay woman has created a website that helps reunite missing pets with the owners. Called FindToto.com, the website has already reunited more than a dozen pet owners with their missing dogs and cats since it was launched in November. For a free, the site will deliver a recorded phone message to as many as 5,000 people who live near where the pet went missing within fifteen minutes. "We guarantee (an alert) within an hour, but right now we're in a 20-to-30 minutes time frame," said Krislyn Sterlino, the website founder. "That can be a very crucial time frame to get that alert out to your neighbors." Sterlino says she came up with the idea for the website after a friend's cat ran away. |
