I thought I was going to get physically ill when they showed the portion on the dogs being put down in Ft. Worth. I know it happens everywhere. It just makes my heart break.

I'm watching Inside Edition & they are airing part of the puppymill story right now - although focusing on Oprah crying over the loss of Sophie

I can't tell you how many shows/videos I have seen on puppymills! It's been several hours since I watched Oprah's show and I still can't stop crying! I cannot understand how this country can ignore this horrible problem! People know, they just choose to look the other way!!

I am so upset, I so wanted to see this....I work full-time so I set my DVR to record it, but for some reason it recorded 10 seconds and then quit. If I had checked right when I got home I would've seen the problem and then would've been able to catch the rebroadcast at 9pm, but I didn't try watching it till 10p so I missed it.

But I am really glad she did a show on this problem, she has a very large viewing audience.

Go to Oprah. com and request a copy of the show..or wait, she always repeats her shows during summer.

Until I joined this site, I had no clue that puppies in Pet stores came from puppymills.......I really didn't know much about them.

Thanks to this site, and Oprah's show, I have been educated. I have to say I sat and watched and cried, then anger. How this can go on in our country amazes me. Our voices can be heard, by writing our local newspapers , our goverment and we should never stop.
I might have never bought a puppy from a Pet store, but I have purchased supplies, they will never get another dime from me.

Thanks to Oprah.......hopefully now something will be done.

I checked last night right after you sent this and it wasn't on...they replay it here also but at 9pm and it was 11:45p CST when you posted that it was on. I'll have to try to catch the rerun, the only thing is that I work full-time and I don't normally record her show, only if I see that something interesting is coming on. I guess I will have to start recording her show every day till I see it.

Oh I forgot to mention that I have cable. So schedules maybe different. I know in NY if you have cable new show plays at 4pm and then they replay it the same night at 1:00 am.

I want to make an appeal to all of you. Please go and post something on Oprah's board about this show. If she is flooded with more msgs on this than any other show, she will have to do another one about this issue.

We need to appeal to her on doing something on what legislation is needed to shut the puppymills down.

The board & msgs are long. I've read some of them, and yes, there are some complete idiots on there who still don't get the message.

And please, if you do post there, can you do me a favor?? Put a space between every few sentences, actually make paragraphs -- it's killed my eyes to try & read some of the comments, as most folks don't know how to hit enter and go to a new paragraph.

Great idea to go post on Oprah message board. I went there right after the show and there were already tons on messages. Will check back later today. You have to weed thru the nut cases but I have posted once and will do it again.

I have been involved in rescue for four years and the things I have seen are heartbreaking. I think Oprah only touched the tip of the iceburg on this issue. But I was very glad to see no mention made of PETA. The footage of the kill shelter in Texas was very hard to take but powerful.
