i just saw this thread.........im thrilled to death that the little fellow has a great forever home.....sorry for your bad experience but it sure does help the rest of us with things like this........so happy for you all....

Tatertot, I really admire your heart and persistence in this whole ordeal. You started this thread so mad at yourself and called yourself very UNDESERVING names. I just want you to know that the way you handled this situation and saved that precious little guy is so admirable and I hope you are patting yourself on the back!! I am posting this from my cell phone, but when I get home tonight I am going to put a warning post in the pets section of craigslist in my area. I am going to tell this story and maybe it will give a heads up to anyone else rehoming their loved one!! You may have saved ALOT of deserving animals by your courage and persistence and I just wanted to give you a big KUDOS TO YOU!!! Way to go!!

** Here's an idea!! Anyone reading this thread can also go to their local craigslist pet area and post this experience as well!! Lets make sure all rehomed furbabies dont end up having to go through this!! Making people aware can really help!!**

Hey everyone, I just met another woman on Craigslist that had her dog that is a Yorkie mix. She had her up for FREE and I wrote her immediatly and told her not to do that and told her what happened to me. this was her reply:

Oh my gosh, thank you so much!
This is really a hard thing for me to do and I didn't even think of that!
Is this her?

I am looking for a small dog – I too have a lab that loves everything – would love to see pics and meet her.

People say you learn from your mistakes, well I sure did and now I want to help other people not make that mistake. I've learned there are some crazy people out there and no matter how normal, nice or loving they seem they could be lying. (although I haven't found a reason not to trust anyone of you on here) I am very grateful of this website. Oh and I talked to my husband last night and he said it would be ok if I became a donating member!! YAY!! I am so happy I can give something back to the site, and I am going to become part of the gift exchange also. I just cant wait. I will be making a donation soon. Thank you all so much.
