| [B] Does anyone know? Molly got her last set of shots and they gave her a epinephrine shot so she wouldn't react to the rabies vaccine But where they gave the epinephrine shot she got a bald spot. I don't know if she chewed it off or it just feel out but the hair is starting to come in a different color than the steel blue that the rest of her body is turning it is black and dark tan and in an area that it should be coming in steel blue has anyone experienced this ?hopefully it will correct itself or she going to have dark tan spot on her back

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | I'm no expert, but really think you should contact your Vet & ask. I do know that in humans/furbabies, anyone can have a reaction to any medicine at any time. I've searched on this drug as I'm sure you have. I would want to know more.....why the Vet thought it was necessary & if side effects she is having is ok. I wish you the very best. Hope someone here can help you more before you are able to talk to Vet.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Never heard of the vet giving them an epi shot when they give them their vaccines. Give them a call and ask them what the deal is.

| they gave her the epinephrine way up on her upper thigh kinda looks like its on her back she could hardly walk the day of the shots. Unless it was the rabies shot that was given in that spot I don't know but the hair fell out and now it is coming in a totally different color than the surrounding area I hope this makes sense she was given three shots that day epinephrine, rabies & bordetella two were given in her neck area and one in lower back upper thigh area thats were the hair fell out

| I have seen this on many of the dogs I groom. I have never seen the hair come back normally. It is usually from the rabies shot, and it just happens to some dogs who have sensitive skin. Sometimes the hair stays gone and sometimes it comes back in coarser or a different color than the original fur. It if from the cellular structure changing due to the damage of the epidermis from the shot. I have never seen it fill in with normal fur to match the rest of the body, but I think anything is possible... Sue & Cricket |
