obsessed by size My little yorkie is going to turn a year old on March 28. She weighs in at a respectable 4.5lbs. I'm thinking she is at her full weight. Do you think she willdo any more growing? I would love to see her even get to 5lbs. I also have a yorkie-poo and a chocolate lab and they love to play together. If she got just a little bit bigger I wouldn't worry about her so much. :

I have a yorkie poo that is 6 pounds and a choc lab that is 90 pounds. They play ok together but I still have to watch them carefully. I dont really let them play unattended. Well the yorkie plays more than my lab he just kind of sits there and makes a move here and there. They dont bark at each other but the yorkie is the most aggressive. I think I am going to always be careful of them playing together because my lab is so large.

I have a couple of Yorkies that are around 4.5 lbs. They live with our larger dog who weighs 55+ lbs. He's very gentle with them, and watches over them when they go outside in the backyard. Whether your dogs can safely play together without your watching depends on the larger dog's temperment.

Adie weighed 4lb 2oz for a long time after she turned a year old. she weights 5lb now at two. She also has a 120lb german shepherd and a 12 lb shih tzu to play with every day and they are all great together. She knows when to avoid the big feet!

They often gain more weight after a year as they fill out more. It varies greatly though

Thanks for all the imput. Little Gracie has maintained 4.3lbs for about 3months now. She is a little spit fire and she holds her own very well with the other two. I always keep a close eye on the three of them when they are playing hard. My lab, Sophie would not hurt a flee but at 60lbs well, we all know what could happen and it wouldn't be on purpose. Thanks again for all the insight..........................Donna and the clan
