Question...Do Yorkies get mad? Do Yorkies get mad? I mean like "mad at us" for leaving them? I only crate Furgie when we go somewhere that she can not go and sometimes at night if she is sick or stinky, so a few time a week she may be created for some reason or other....but when we get back she's all shaking, lowering her head and pulls away from me when I go to get her out. I'm confused...It's as if she is mad and she don't want me to touch her...yet she does, She will do this in the mornings when I crate her over night too What is this? :( Do any of you go through this and how do I help her with it...it is just gonna aways happen...you know...LIFE! |
I don't think she's mad. It seems like she frightened she may have done something to make you mad at her/hence the shaking. Poor baby. |
Well how do I help her understand?...she is never crated cause she has done something. I just tell her NO and remove her from it or it from her and move on....She does seem to be a bit sensitive. I wish I could fix that...sometimes my normal voice is too much so I have had to train myself to speak in a higher pitch then she is fine. |
i don't think that's a sign of anger.. she seems more scared than anything but i honestly do believe yorkies get mad.. haha.. or at least a little irritated.. |
separation anxiety? I'm going to look that up. but she pulls away like she's mad...I don't get it. |
I don't crate Murfee so I don't know about that but Murfee does pout. I left him with my daughter once for 2 days and he pouted for about 2 days when we got back. He doesn't do that anymore but then he only gets left when I go someplace he can't go....like the grocery store. Good luck. |
In my experience Yorkies do get mad and will pout. My husband had never seen a dog get mad before and thinks it is just the coolest thing! |
I think that they are capable of getting mad depending on their personalities. I know my lil one knows when I am picking her up in the morning to put her in her xpen so I can go to work and she will turn her head away from me when I ask for sweetness (kisses). It's just to cute, it's like she's saying I'm not going to give you kisses cuz your going to be leaving me again....she does however get over it and smothers me with kisses when I get back home :p |
Tucker doesn't seem to know how to be mad, but Lexie definitely does! She doesn't give me kisses after baths, eye cleanings, or anything else she doesn't enjoy. She'll turn her head and run away from me. brat |
Yell she gets over it...in just abit but it takes babying. Then were happy till the next time. Anyways we are going to have to kennel her this coming weekend when I go to Ga to see my brother. His wife doesn't like dogs. I sure hate that for Furgie but I have not choose. It is her house. I told hubby tonight about my question here and he said oh yell animals do get mad...only it is more of away of showing you that I am not happy with you, not mad, but more like sulling/sulking. He said our jersey "Daisy" will blow, turn her head and snort when he is late feeding her...He said she's done this for years. So I think Furgie is actually saying I am not happy with you for leaving me....pet me up and we will be best friends again...the nervous shaking ...shrug* maybe she's scared I am going to get mad cause she is mad....I dunno! But she is a bit of a weirdo...sometimes. LOL well I was wondering what all this is about and I think I know now. I think we really never know whats going on in their little heads. ~/~ |
i know just how you feel. jojo shakes like crazy when i put her in her crate.... i'm buying a cd for separation anxiety, i'm hoping that helps!! |

I wish you the best though and you never know it may work for yours.:D |
It's music... my only problem is i come home for lunch after 4 hours.... but the cd only lasts for a little over an hour i think... but anyways, they actually have done studies on this cd, i havent read too much into it yet, but it's worth a try to me! :-) have you also ever thought of the petcams? you have a webcam set up to watch them and you can view them online at work or wherever you are. i also want to try that just to see how long she is sad and barking after i leave. but anyways, the cd is called through a dogs ear : throughadogsear.com i'll have to let you know what i think of it, unless you end up getting it too! There's other kinds of pet music like this but i just recently heard good things about this one. :-) Quote:

Ok first of all, the answer to your problem...I ALWAYS leave the TV on (cable) when I leave. That seems to help a lot. And to answer your question, yes they do get mad. Mine will go pout if they get in trouble or you don't go to them first over another baby. I have 9 to see when I walk in the house, so I just sort of pick whoever is standing near me first to pick up and kiss...and I go through them one by one. If Maddie isn't first she will pout for the rest of the night. Maddie also HATES diapers. She's trained but I always put one on her at night just in case. When the diaper comes out her head goes down and her tail between her legs...and she hides under the bed. And with Maddie, kisses have to be HER idea. If you try to kiss her and make the kissy noises, she makes what i call the "brat face" and turns her head quickly with her chin up. She's so funny... ;) :D |
in crates all day? Quote:
think of what is best for your pet.. not yourself there has got to be another answer for these poor caged dogs..:animal-pa :thumbdown |
