| Feeding Schedule?? Okay so I was feeding Maxx 3 times a day, vet told me it should be 4....the bag of food says for his weight 1/2 a cup per day, si I am trying to space this out between 4 sittings, but he seems like he wants more soooooooooo I was wondering what your feeding schedules were??? Also I know his food he is on from breeder (Iams) is a junk food so I want to switch him, any reccomendations?? Something that is good for his tummy, skin, fur, and size?? Don't want him to blow up on me here and be like 20lbs.....Ha Ha j/k |

| I free feed Nutro Natural Choice (there is better out there though) and feed the wet version 3x per day (morning, noon, evening).. My kiddos are also pee pad trained, so I don't have a real schedule with them... They go potty when they need to...

| If you do a search in the Health and Diet forum, you'll find lots of great suggestions on good foods. We free-feed Franklin but if I had him on a schedule, it'd be 4 times a day.

| Welcome to YT. I free feed my girls. If you leave the bowl of dry kibble out they will not over eat. They will only eat when they are hungry. I also, do wet food too but only twice a day. You should post over on the food/diet section and you will get a lot of good advice there too. Elaine |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Don't know how old he is, but most yorkie breeders recommend free feeding, meaning food left out all the time, until they are 8 months old. Don't worry about him getting fat. Just don't give him unhealthy treats. They go through growth spurts, so at times they are hungrier than others. No need to give wet food.

| I feed Ellie 3x daily. I use to free feed her but if I had to do it over again, she would eat all wet, so I'd feed 4-5 times a day til she was an adult.

| I think she does the raw feeding, which some yt'ers (like myself) are totally against. but, everyone has their own opinion...I'm not about to give my dogs raw chicken/beef etc etc.. |

| She's against raw feeding. The theory is that wet food is less processed than dry food.

They can use the moisture and no, it isn't going to hurt their teeth especially if they are brushed. I don't like raw feeding at all.

Ellie's nutritionist even sees not much benefit. I think brushing is most important. Don't worry about the raw. I'm sure just about everybody knows how I feel.

I don't do the Feeding Times .... Maya has food in her Bowl at all times and she eats when she is hungry.
