Hello to all the newbies!:welcome4: To those of you who have just got your yorkies, congratulations, you won't regret it! To those of you who are still waiting, it will be one of the best days of your life when that little bundle arrives. I am not much help when it comes to medical problems, but can offer my "ears" and maybe a prayers to help you along. :eyeballpc Don't worry if you feel "strange" or left out. This board is enormous and it takes a while to get to know people. A hint: I found that once I started responding to the Off Topic section, I got to know people a little better. I have made many wonderful friends on here, and I hope you do too. Sheilagh |

MY name is Kat...hence the screen name hehe and I live in Nor Cal with my boyfriend. I have one little one and she is over a year now and she is my first dog ever. :2puppy: :2hearts2: I only had cats before her. I just wanna welcome everyone else too! |

Welcome to YT. I loved your post and wish I could express myself as you just did. Couldn't help but smile and that's what I enjoy. As they say " life's too short". |
Thanks for making Jack and I feel so welcome and making life easier on us What I love best about Yorkie Talk is.... When I have a problem, I go and ask for help and not only do I get help within days, I also find everyone is so kind. I never ever have had to feel embarrassed for asking any question, Everyone lets you know that they have or someone they know has been through it which is totally reassuring, Youre all a wonderful group. Thank you so much Tracy and her baby Jackie |

That is soooo awesome. |
Thanks for posting this thread! You ladies all seem so sweet! I am new too, I didnt post a introducing myself thread so here goes! I just recently (last week) got my very first Yorkie, a little girl who we named London. She is 10 months old and a total doll. I have loved Yorkies since I was very young. I have another fur baby, Henry, who is a 2 year old Parson Russell Terrier. I showed and bred Parsons for a while, but decided to start my family and I didnt like the politics with the show world. I live in Oregon now with my 1 year old son, 2 fur babies and my DH. I am 29 and at some point we are hoping to have 1 more Yorkie and 1 more Russell.....then our little family will be complete! I also used to show horses (hunters and jumpers) and am a professional groom (although taking some time off to raise my kids). I worked as a vet assistant for a while as well and my mother raised German Shepherds and was very involved in Schutzhund when I was very young. So dogs have always been a big part of my life! I am SO happy to have found this site and it will be great to get to know you all better! :) |

Welcome:) Could I ask how you liked being a vet assistant? |
Most vets will make them fast for a while and then feed bland foods such as boiled chicken and rice. I hope he gets to feeling better. |
Yep we are 10 minutes from the Falls and wow to my surprise, Jackie was born just outside of Detroit. :) |
I think you will love it here because honestly, the people make you feel so welcome, and no one informs you more then some one who is going through it right at the same time as your are. Your baby is beautiful in that picture. |
Thanks so much for such a warm welcome. I really appreciate all the great information on Yorkietalk. As an introduction, my name is Lisa and my furbaby's name is Piccolo. Piccolo is three years old and my second Yorkie. I can't tell you how excited I am to have found a community that loves Yorkies as much as I do! Thanks again... Lisa and Piccolo |
:) That is Yorkie Love I am just a mom sorry :p but I did used to teach physical education. |
I joined YT over two years ago when I first started looking for a Yorkie. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay and patience paid off. In 3.5 weeks I will be bringing my furbaby home. Wednesday Lillian Moola, a big name for such a tiny girl. Her mother is 4.5 lbs, the dad is 2.5. I've heard about so many problems for the little ones that I want her to be bigger to give her a better chance in life. This site has become invaluable to me and it feels like I live her most of the time. There is just so much information to absorb that it's hard to try to take everything in. But most of the people that I have talked to so far have been wonderful. My favorite part of the site is the videos, it gives me a chance to live vicariously until my little girl comes home. |
hiyas :) Howdy from you guessed it, West Virginia :) My name is Kim and I'm a mother to 3 beautiful children. 1 girl and 2 boys ages: 8, 5 & 3. And married to my DH of 8 yrs. We have just recently become the proud parents of a male yorkie named Gizmo. He's 8 months old and has been an absoulte joy to have. He has had 2 previous owners but we'll be his last and final home. He's great with the kids and the kids love him to death. I've been looking over this site and it has a lot of great info. I'm new to having a Yorkie and plan to give him the best care he possibly can get. We got him shortly after the death of our ferret KiKi. She died of cancer :( I just hope that you'll be patient with me and my silly questions ;) |
Quote:
And silly questions?? There have been threads before competing for the silliest YT question. You can just join the crowd! ;) So happy that Gizmo found such an awesome family for his forever home. And so sorry about KiKi. No matter how much pain these little critters cause us by having such short little lives, we can't help ourselves. :) |

I am SOO glad you did this thread. Everyone on here is SO nice and more than willing to help. I didn't find this website until after I had gotten Bella (now 14weeks old). The strange thing is I did so many google searches and never came across this site till 2 days after Bella came home. Regardless, I am VERY happy to have found it here and have found so much useful information. Now I am more aware and educated about when/where to purchase my next Yorkie and what to be on the look out for. Thanks again YT |
