| My baby's floppy ears/hair cut help please! hi there! First off, Shena is a yorkie so I am told from the breeder I got her off! Anyway, she was black/brown as a puppy, now she is 1-1/2 years old and she turned mostly gray/silver... she is a silky which I didnt know. Her ears are floppy not perky! Is that right?? Most i see have the pointed up ears. Anyway, I usually have kept her hair cut short, but I am thinking she would look pretty with the long hair I sometimes see on the silky ones. Does anyone have any pictures of their babies that I can use as a reference on how long to let it go without it getting out of hand! Right now, my groomer gave me a metal type comb to brush her, and I need to brush her everyday or she gets lots of little knots! I know this a multi question, thread Sorry! |

| Lots of yorkies have floppy ears and turn silver/grey. While floppy doesn't meet the standard it is not uncommon. I don't have pics on THIS computer...but you can see my two in my avatar!

| Before I joined YT I did not know that floppy-eared Yorkies existed. I just love them. Would never be upset if I got one. Your furbaby is so darling!

| And by the way, Gingergirlsmom, your's are darling, too. It just doesn't affect their Yorkie look. Yorkies are Yorkies whether tiny, standard, or teapot.
