Lucky you were on guard and I bet little miss Jazzi was surprised when she surfaced. My Kenji hated a bath but at the same time had severe seperation anxiety, I will never forget the day he jumped into the bathtub to get closer to me. He was shocked too , it was priceless.

Replied in wrong place. Loved your take a bath with Mom story. I want to try that approach next bath time, hope he will miss me, hate to sit in bath waiting for him to join me. Any creative ways to get our Furbabies nice& fluffy.

this reminds me of the time i took my moms yorkie on a walk by the water in st petersburg. there is a big stone wall. on my side was grass and sand, and behind it is the ocean (it's a hurricane wall). i was walking along it with gabe (the dog) and he was having a good time. he had NEVER been in water or even paid any attention to it... so im like la la la..looking at the sunset and all of a sudden he is GONE. i look down and he is treading water in the ocean, trying to get somewhere, and im holding on to the end of his super long leash. i was like OMG how will i get him out??! it was a good 8 or 9 feet down. i was NOT jumping in (there were ROCKS AT THE BOTTOM). i thought quickly and said to myself... well maybe the harness is strong enough and just PULLED really hard with both hands and he came flying up out of the water (STILL kicking his little legs) ... it was just SO FUNNY.. it wouldnt have been so funny though if he just had on a collar. god knows how i would have gotten him out. i would have gotten so wet and been miserable, soaked in cold ocean water!

Oh my! That gave me goosebumps. I've walked along those walls without a dog. Scary enough!!

haha I know!! I just never thought hed jump in.. it was so crazy. that was the last time i took him even somewhat near that wall!

That was a funny post. My lila wants to be everywhere I am. Well, last weekend I'm taking a shower and I feel tickling on my legs. I look down and lila is licking my legs. As it turns out, she pushed open the door (I guess I didn't lock it) and managed to jump in the tub. Normally, she hates taking a bath but I guess if I'm taking one she wants to do it too!

well, ,i'm glad the little (part moutain goat) man is all fine,,lol,, our Daisy,, ran out in the yard back home in Louisiana,, just as we were leaving the day after Christmas,, ran and ran,, and ran right INTO one of our Koi Ponds!! In December!!!! we'd already turned out all the heat and lights and everything,, OY VEY!!! lol,, i just unlocked the back door,, grabbed a couple of old towels and we soaked her off, and loaded up and left,, heading back to Fort Worth,, entirely too late in the day for a Bath then a long ride,, and we HAD to head on out,, she was fine,, my first thought was,, You watch, ,she'll be one of those dogs who cant swim and hubby will hafta jump in after her!! LOL ,but she paddled right back to the edge and he scooped her up! she couldnt figure out WHAT happened!
