Need help with aggression issues Hi I just joined the site and I have some questions. I have four yorkies 3 girls 1 boy. I had them for about 5 yrs. The newest one is going to be 2 this May. My problem is with the new one she has been fighting with the older girl in our house. It just started a couple days ago. It is very scary me and my wife have to seperate the girls and sit with one in a bedroom. The fighting is vicious they make eye contact and they attack. It has not been like this and only the same two are doing it, the other two can care less. Anyone else have this problem

Fighting I have two males that do this, a Yorkie & a Shih-Tzu. I have to keep them separated at all times. I had to buy crates for them & I take turns letting them out of their crates. Could your girls be in heat & just a little grouchy with each other, I notice my girls tend to be nasty towards each other when they are in heat.

Unfortunately this does happen fairly often with unspay females. I wish I could give you some encouraging advise but over the years I have had several females that would turn aggressive toward each other and the only solution I had was to keep them separated. The aggression usually gets worse with time and they can seriously hurt each other. I know other people that have the same problem.

This happened to me when I bought a rescued un-speyed 3 yr old female into the house where I had my neutered 7 yr old Queen and matriarch Tara, and 5 yr old Casper my male.....it was the new Tammy who would goad Tara to annoy her and steal her bed and blankets from under her and drag them across the floor often with Tara still in them, or she would steal her toys....both resulting in nasty fighting - just between the girlies....you are doing the right thing....I speyed the new female, and now they are absolutely fine....Yes Tammy is still a wee ASBO, but naughty as she tries to be, Tara doesn't bother now Tammy is fixed ! ...Keep us posted ! Debra x x x x 1. Tammy,4.5, Casper,5.5, and Tara, nearly 8 2. Tara 3. Casper 4. Tammy
