| Sweet William removed his own cast! I saw it had slipped down a bit yesterday morning, well he kept picking at it and then it came down further. I put his E collar back on, but he could still reach it. By the time I called the vet he was frantically trying to get it off while I kept holding it up! When I put him down to get dressed to rush him to the vet, he got it all the way off. I was shaking like a leaf, and didn't stop shaking until he came home. I left him at the vet so the doc could deal with it after she came out of surgery. She called and said they x-rayed it and it was healed well enough not to recast him. So he came home cast free with just a bit of an abrasion on his foot where the cast had rubbed it! Yay!!! No more cast. He is doing great, puts some weight on it, and hopefully will be using it just fine in a few days. I am so relieved. I'm sure he is too! ~Melody

| Wow. Worrying that he would reinjure it must have been very trying. Thank goodness all is well.
