Donating YT 500 Club Member | Which is best Yorkies of same sex or one of each? I may be getting myself a female and to me that seems the best, because I do feel that Guinness wouldn't take another male too well. wdyt?

| i have read a lot of conflicting opinions on this a lot of people say 2 boys might fight but i have also read that 2 girls can fight (each trying to be the alpha female) as long as you get them spayed and neutered, i think a boy and a girl would be good i have 2 boys and 1 girl...the boys play with each other the most and i have never seen any aggression or fighting between any of them

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have always been told in general it's more difficult to have two girls together than two boys. But then there are plenty of examples with members on here where that doesn't seem to be true. So, I'm beginning to think it has more to do with the temperament of the dogs and owner personality, rather than the gender of the dogs.

| I don't think it really matters. I agree , I think it depends on the individual dogs personalities. My mom had two girls and they were inseparable and the same goes for my two, a girl and a boy. Yorkies seem to be unique in that there doesn't seem to be a distinct difference between boys and girls. Besides the obvious Best wishes for finding a new baby Sheilagh

| We have two boys and two girls...girls live with my daughter a block away and I have the boys....they seem to all behave about the same with exception of my little stud...he is constantly striving to let everyone know he owns the place...so I think as long as they are all neutered and spayed, its up to the temperament of the individual dog Good luck and your smart to investigate this before you buy

| We have one of each and they love eachother. No real probs here. We use to have 2 male pugs and they also got along great. My best friend has 2 females and they fight until they draw blood!
