I am sorry but I have a question about the first heat. I hope Gracie is in her first heat as she is bleeding from her potty. Her appetite has also decreased. I am just wondering. A little worried. Is this normal? Thanks for your help.

is her vulva swollen? When they are in heat, the vulva swells to a large size. If not...blood in the urine can be a urinary tract infections or stones/crystals.

When my friends cocker spaniel went into her first heat she was panting alot especially at night. She was also overly excited and pacing alot. Her vulva wa swollen for a couple of days before at least that we noticed we thought she had a growth. (lol) But anyways she also had a stinch to her we bathed and bathed her and it wouldn't go away. It lasted for about a month or so. We brought her disposable diapers for when she was in the house. This seemed to work better than the sanitary undergarments. Thi was my firs experience with a female in heat and believe me it wasn't to fun.

I am not sure. It does not look extremely large. Also, she is almost 10 months. She will be in 10 days.

When my girl is in heat, she also is constantly licking
"that area".
Is your girl licking herself? Also, take a piece of tissue, put it her vulva and see if there is any bloody discharge.
