Has anyone's significant other fallen under the yorkie spell?? I wanted to know if anyone's else significant other fallen into the spell of the yorkie. My boyfriend has definitely become one. The other night he was saying lets get another one and I told him we can't afford another one right now only one puppy at a time. I was like maybe next year he goes " I can't wait that long..." LOL... I said to him you have gone "Yorkie Crazy" and he says "Yeah so...":D |
I would buy 10 more if I could. My husband and I are crazy Yorkie people. |
Oh yes. Boyfriend is definitely under the spell. We used to live together and he told me I could never get a small dog, he said he hates small dogs. He loves boxers. So now we live apart and I have Harley. Even after Harley has attacked boyfriend on more than one oocasion and we have to work with Harley A LOT, I caught boyfriend (after scolding Harley for getting really aggressive) telling Harley "Hey buddy, if you just listen, I won't have to yell at you anymore." They are best buds until Harley gets real protective over me. Then boyfriend has to be the bad guy, and I think he feels bad, lol. |
Yes, he is under the spell of "THE YORKIE". My husband has always been a control freak, bad temper, etc. Tricksie has totally changed this man, he is not the same person, he is so content, relaxed when he gets home, and loves this baby. |
MY husband is crazy about the ones we have but he really doesnt want anymore right now |
Its a Cutie Spell My husband ws overseas when I purchased my Max, and he has always been a BIG DOG fan, he had 2 rotties when he was single, so his frist impression was if it will make you happy honey, but it sunded as he was not that thrilled. Well he just is in TOTAL LOVE with Max. He gives max his food, takes naps together, he cleans up after him, everything a great daddy does and more. He is completely in love with our baby boy. I have been secretly trying throwing hints for the baby girl, but he hasn't bitten yet, so lets see. Good Luck to everyone with their Yorkie baby ! They are the best !!!!! |
LOL... He didn't want a Yorkie at first he wanted a pug or a puggle sister for Tobey and I said no.. lol...well now he has forgotten about those and wants more Yorkies |
Hubby got me Ava, he loves and adores her, and he wants to have 5 yorkies at some point lol he is yorkie crazy...maybe even more so than me! |
Yes..Rusty was bought to be my dog, but he loves his Daddy. Sometimes I think I am only the trainer and the baby sitter. Rusty waits for his Daddy to come home from work, eats while his Daddy eats, cuddles on the sofa with his Daddy. I don't usually see Rusty when Daddy is home. Maybe it's just a guy thing..............oh if Rusty gets in trouble with me, he runs to his Daddy for help. I guess it is because my voice is higher, Rusty thinks I am fussing, ha! |
Thomas is plain stupid over Lucy :) |

My hubby has very much fallen for Yorkies. When we very first got married I told hubby we would have Yorkies and you should of seen his face. He said they were ugly and a womans dog and it was just out of the question. Well four months later we started paying on Tilly. :D Now it's Yorkies all the way. He talks baby talk and everything to her. He is hooked. |
My husband DID NOT want a dog. But, I fell so hard for the little guy he just couldn't say no. He held out for a long time, but recently I caught him petting Sebastian on the head and saying in a soft voice "hi, little guy, how are you today?" And, even though he's never been a dog person he recently said to me, "the only dogs I like are Yorkies :D" |
I couldn't ask for a better " daddy" for these guys. He goes above and beyond what is required or asked and he is the first to fill the carriage at the store with all sorts of goodies and toys. They have him absolutely wrapped... :D |
My husband had NO dogs when I met him 5 years ago.... He loves them every bit as much as I do. But he says Debbi , this spring we REALLY have to finish building our family room...lol |
Oh yes, my husband is definately in love with our 2 girls! He used to be a big Pitbull guy...... Its so cute to see him walking Daisybear, with a pink harness and leash!! |
My husband is madly in love w/our yorkies. When I first told him about Autumn he was less then thrilled but w/in two days she had stollen his heart. Blaze is my hubby's little buddy.........its really cute. Before he leaves for work I see him kiss the dogs goodbye too!:D |
Ha ha. I would say so. My wife is the one who brought home our first Yorkie. I'm the one with almost 8,000 posts on YT! |
:sidesplt: Oh, yeah!!!! My great big, "man's man", Patrick, is proud to carry Toto around like a brick of gold!! He also tells everyone that he has always been a "big dog" person, but Toto has the most personality and is the most fun than any dog he has ever met!! :p Her favorite spot on earth is perched up on his big chest. Yep! ... he's a goner!! ;) |
My husband wanted a Golden, but I talked him into looking at a Yorkie. Now he says he wouldn't have any other dog. He said "Yorkies Rule". |

yep! my fiance' dresses them in their cute sweaters and outfits without my asking too ;) :D oooooh and he is always offering to bring them to work so we can show them off :) hehe ... he loves the little boogers! |
I heard "no dogs in the house" for 11 years. Now Bailey and hubby run to town and get coffee in the a.m. - just the two of 'em. |
My husband turned into a big softy. He thinks he is so funny when Sophie prefers him over me. |

Yeah, I think you've captured my sentiment perfectly!! Now, my hubby doesn't even bother to hide all the Yorkie smooching like he used to when we first got Coby! Poor ol' Reg is treated like a step child by his dad. Don't worry, I make up for it. |
Yes he has!!!! When I got Lulu he cared for her and learned to super love her little butt. When she was getting closer to a year old I started saying how I wanted another..he was all for it. When we lost Lulu he cried like a baby with me. Till this day he still stops and says I miss Lulu. We have Zoey now and he loves on her so much too. I was saying maybe she needs a playmate and he was like sounds good to me...shocked me but he figures he gets to love on them and I get to do the other messy work. The other day he tells me ...I really love these little guys now... never knew how much fun they would be. My girls are girly dressed and rough like a big old dog. So we get the best of both worlds. We get something so cute and loveable and they are fierce...lol. |
My husband wanted a Great Dane, you know a "real manly dog". We live in the downtown area and our yard just is not big enough for a Dane to run in. It is the perfect yard for our kids and a few Yorkies! When we got Jeter home my husband said he was not allowed on the couch at all  Well that lasted all but 20 minutes when Jeter pranced over to Brian lounging on the couch and begged to be picked up.. He was a goner then:p Jeter is his boy when he is home, Also Brian said that he can see us with a few more Yorkies in the near future!!! I also should tell you all on how two day's of having Jeter, he called me and had me send a picture text of Jeter so he could show him off at work . When he came home he got our digital camera and a Jack Daniels bottle and took a picture to take in so the guy's could see how tiny Jeter was, they need something that they could compare the size to and Jack Daniels was what he used;) so now Jeter has to get monthly photos of him next to the JD bottle so Brian can take it into work. He works at a coal dock and it's just a bunch of guy's their. I suggested he used a wine bottle and got a dirty look! |
my fiance tried to talk me out of a yorkie for MONTHS before we got dexter! he always said "i dont want a little yappy princess dog" its funny becuase dexter doesnt bark at all! and when he finally saw dexter and agreed i could have him he said "remember..he is your dog. you have to take care of him" but now i catch him talking baby talk to dexter saying "hows daddy's little boy??" lol. its funny how our little sweeties can calm the most masculine of hearts! |
My husband loves his boy. He sleeps with him every night and is the one who gets up for the 3am potty break. Everynight they nap on the couch together. He helps with baths and is reading up on clipping so he can groom him himself. 3 days a week he puts Oz in his carseat in his HUGE Toyota manly pickup and drives him to daycare (with a yellow striped beach bag that has Ozzy's lunch and toys in the other hand....so funny!!!) He is the best Dad ever. He bought a front sling bag from LL Bean so he can take his boy on his motorcycle come spring. Yep he's hooked :D |
