I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | No Alcohol, No Glass, No Weapons, No Dogs???? The city of Chandler is having a fair this weekend, an old-fashioned city fair with food, rides, and various art booths. It's really beautiful here this time of year, and I thought it would be great to take Joey on a day trip to the fair, great exercise and a chance to be around people. Then I saw the sign: No Alcohol, No Glass, No Weapons, No Dogs, I was so disappointed. It seems like there are fewer and fewer places allowing dogs. How do you socialize them when they are allowed so few places?

| I know what you mean. We have some really nice parks and paths around here, and most of them say, no dogs allowed. There is one particular path here, that is by the water, and amongst beautiful trees, a place where I would love to walk with my dogs, but have to abide by the "rules". Where the heck Can we take them? |

| I think it is sad that so many people have abused areas by not picking up after their dogs or not kept them on a leash and all the rest of us have to suffer for it.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Dogs aren't allowed at most of our outdoor festivals either. I think it's a combination of a liability issues if it's a city sponsored event plus the issue not everyone is responsible...and picks up after their dog or has necessarily gotten all the animals vaccinations.

| I hope this changes in time... and dogs are commonly accepted. My boys would love something like that!
