Over here, it's sort of frowned upon.....a dog is a dog, all the same, whether it's tiny or a massive guard dog
Mine have little warm coats for the cold & they don't half get some funny looks wearing those from some of the old chaps in the village, can just imagine some of the comments if they had some of the cute little dresses I've seen on here.
Probably why our shops never stock much in the way of clothes! |
I second your shout out of love for the furbabies! The deep love I have sometimes brings me almost to the brink of tears...tears of joy to know them
If it makes you feel any better many people here have the same attitudes you describe. I got a few looks of Puzzlement when I had CoCo dressed in her pink fur collared coat and pink matching bow at Petworld last weekend. Not disapproving really just looks, but along with that there was the man that stooped down with his daughter to tell me how beautiful CoCo looked and the little girls who were in awe, both of which made sure to tell me how cute she was. Then there was the sales girl who marveled over the Pom and wanted to know how hers would look when he got that old. So I actually have good feelings and to hell to anyone who does stick up their nose if they see her when I put one of her dresses on. Yes sweaters and coats seem much more accepted. You will have to do your shopping over the internet if your shops don't carry much.
