Just dropped Gleason at groomers Gleason is 8 months old and getting his first big boy haircut today and I just dropped him off. I feel awful. He was bouncing around greeting everyone but the minute I handed his leash to the girl he froze and they had to pick him up to take him. I know it's silly but I hate to think he is afraid and he doesn't know what's going on. I just hope all goes well. This is the first time I have ever left him anywhere.

I noticed that you are from TN I am in the Jefferson City-Stawberry Plains area and I am looking for a groomer. What part of the state are you in? Tammy

Sorry I am in West Tennessee, about 80 miles north of Memphis. I know what you mean. It really is hard to find a good groomer that you can trust. I lucked up when my vet of 17 years hired a wonderful groomer. My older yorkie Rickles has really bad separation anxiety and she works with me with him. She does him first and calls while he is still on the table and I come out right then and pick him up. That way he doesn't have to spend any more time than necessary at the groomer's. I really appreciate that.

I agree finding the right person is tough. I had an awesome groomer when I lived in Southern Illinois but I haven't found one since we moved. I am just to afraid to leave him with just anyone. So for now the poor boy just has to put up with me bathing him and trimming a few unmentionable places. Tammy
