| Just venting..... It was such a nice day today that I wanted to take Mascot and Fitz out to play in the field behind my apt. Everything was going well untill out of nowhere 2 young boys come over and start chasing Mascot.... I told them no... I know they heard me... but they kept running and screaming ,,, arrgggg the part that made me the most mad was their Dad just walked on by like it was ok for his kids to terrorize Mascot???? Anyhow I picked him up and took him in, and his fun was over for the day. The small kids said where ya goin? We like chasing that dog... I told them i asked them to stop and they wouldnt and now the dog can't stay out and enjoy the day.... (well me and my husband took them to a dog walk area) but my point is, I have children... I don't understand why other people sometimes can't control them. All I could think was one of them was going to step on mascot... anyhhow, just wanted to vent... my husband had to hear it too.... have a good evening, I am turning in for the night. Dot

| Ug how frustrating. I'm sorry. It's hard when the kids aren't yours because you are so limited in what you can say and do.

| I can't believe when parents don't make their children not respect others.

| Typical! The last time I took Tucker to the park, this little boy kept bothering him and not in a polite way I kept getting up and moving away from him. His dad laughed and told me that his son had been waiting all day for someone with dog to come to the park. At that point, I left to go to my car and the boy followed me!! What kind of a parent let's their child follow a stranger to their car!!?? |

| reminds me of these two little girls that kept following me and Lacy around in a store one day. They were really annoying..kept coming up real close and running away, saying "doggie doggie" and stuff....interfering with me trying to shop. I finally got fed up and told them to go away and leave me alone! Of course their mom wasn't paying any attention to them

| I was driving down the road the other day with Kaba looking out my window. Two young guys pulled up next to me at a light and starting BARKING at Kaba. I couldn't believe it. Kaba was just looking at them like they were crazy!! She is not a barker so she just stared back at them. Seriously, do people have to be *SO* childish?! And yes, parents who don't care what their kids do is one of my biggest pet peeves...

| It does not sound like the parnets have taught them how to be w/ animals! should of told them you would go get your DOB, they could chase it- if they were brave enough!! The parnets should of stopped that!!! Sorry, it messed your outing up!!

| Mascot LOL, I know it is a terrible thought lucky girl, but the thought of me letting my 70 lb Sheepdog just have free chase after them made me smile.... How would they like to be the one being chased by another large animal.....lol. Thanks so much for everyone posting, I was feeling like a mean old woman... but it's like my husband said, we've always had larger dogs but this yorkie is small and is like a baby and has to be protected.... I'm sure if one of them stepped on mascot their parents wouldn't have wanted to fork out any money for his vet costs.... does anyone know the leash laws in NC? Do they always have to be on leashes when in public? Dot

| His son was waiting all day for someone to bring a dog to the park, geez maybe they should get their own dog instead of staling dogs at the park!!!
