| He's probably drinking to fast and I guess it's possible he's getting some up his nose too. Since you've had to syringe feed him for so long, he's probably going to have to get used to drinking on his own again. Poor baby! |

| Hallee and Gracie drink really fast sometimes are their faces are drenched with water and they hack and cough. We just pick them up and calm them down and they are fine.Usually gently rub their throat. I think this is something normal that happens.

| Vicki, You can also use a gerbal bottle or a rabbit water bottle this will slow him down.. I know my a few friends that give thier dogs water through one of these. Now babybear drank from a syringe for a long time to.. And sometimes he gets drinking and doesn't think and starts coughing. I worry because I do not want him to asperate it and get pnemonua.. I just say Baby slow down and he will look at me like heck with you this is good.. But he will stop for afew minutes when he starts to cough.. Hope Bleu is doing great without the cast one.. Hope he is giving you a run for your money..LOL please give him belly rubs from Babybear and I..

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Pixie drank out of a water bottle at the breeders for 13 months and now a year later every time she drinks she snorts and chokes. Roxie came from the same breeder with a water bottle and she at first was choking and snorting when she drank out of the bowl here but she is getting better. Poor Bleu is just so excited to be able to drink freely!!
