When I got my yorkie he was 3 1/2 years old and named Buddy. He was so silly and did such funny things I wanted to name him after a comedian and when I thought of Rickles it clicked. When I got my puppy he was just a funny as Rickles so I started thinking of more comedian names and thought of Gleason and that just stuck too.

oooohh cute! well actually I picked names and then found the boys that fit them! I had a yorkie boy before and he was just a dork, soooo cute and sooo puppyish, falling over himself LOL we named him STuart, just a stereotypical dork type name. Well I we next came up with Fletcher and Dexter (poindexter) as other stereotypical dork/nerd names for boy puppies! Anyways, the names I wanted fit the boys I found sooo perfect and I knew which one would be which the second I saw them! haha

When we got Autumn she was suppose to be Starr but then we saw that she was born on the first day of fall so we went w/Autumn Star (hubby wanted her to be Diva Dog).
When Blaze came around hubby and son decided that he was going to be Ranger because hubby is a NY Ranger fan and my son loves the Power Rangers. But hubby and I are both big Bon Jovi fans and both of our kids are always singing Blaze of Glory so we decided that Blaze would be a better choice. Ironically, we has a white patch on his chest and I was told that is called a Blaze! So it suits him perfectly. We gave him Ranger as his Middle name!!!!

Kodi's real name is Lil Kodiack Bear named after the bear.. had to give my first lil dog a big name

Daisy Mae is my Southern belle she is from Florida

Pixie is Just lie her name.. Named after the Fairys I felt she was like

she was and is shy and Filters around

That is sooooo cool! I was born on Kodiak Is. in Alaska.....I have come face to face many times with the Kodiak bears, I'd rather come face to face with a Yorkie any time!!!

My Harley is originally "Charlie". I adopted him from someone on here and she had gotten him from a rescue and Charlie has been his name the whole time (I'm his 4th owner). I really didn't like the name Charlie for him (no offense to any Charlie's out there!), but I wanted to keep it similar since his name has been the only consistent thing in his life. My uncle was a big Harley Davidson guy and actually dies in a motorcycle accident. So since Harley and Charlie are so close, Harley it was!! And it fits him waayyy better!!

Well I always said if i had a Yorkie i wanted to name it Gizmo or Gidget.. Well on the way to New Orleans and we got the call sayin I had to option to have a sweet baby girl I screamed yes.. Well a cpl days before I started really getting into the Disney Channel well When i seen Miley Cyrus i thought that was a cute name.. so on the way to N.O. i looked at Laura and Said Miley... but i want to spell it Mi'Leigh.. and her Middle name Brook because that was one of the names i picked for my skin kid i may have one day.. and Mi is our first baby girl so thats how i got Mi'Leigh Brook

Laura picked Koda he is named after the little bear from brother bear and now his middle name is Jake because of Jake Ryan off of Hanaha Montana
so we will soon have a Koda Jake!

When my baby was a pup, his ears were as long as his legs and we automatically thought to name him Gizmo. Within the next few days, I realized that really didn't suit him and started to look for another name.

DH and I (both huge John Cleese fans) were watching Fawlty Towers on PBS a few nights later and decided to name him Basil after Cleese's character Basil Fawlty. Most of the time we just call him Baz or Bazzie.

I named Stanford after Carrie's best guy friend on "Sex in the City"--Stanford Blatch. Stanford on the show is going bald, and Stannie was too, so...and I like Stanford's sense of humor on the show, which matches Stannie's in real life. Sometimes I slip up when I am calling to him and holler "Stanford Blatch Knapp, come here this instant!" (Knapp is my last name). His actual middle name is MacKenzie. OPPS.

I'm a huge disney fan, so when i went to look at the puppy, i already sort of knew what i wanted, it was between Ariel, and Belle... and i saw her and she was definitely a Belle... so it stuck...and it suits her perfectly, she is a "Beauty" and she is smart just like the disney princess... and that just happens to be my fave princess...

and she is my precious princess Bellie Boo now...

her AKC name is Princess Isabelle Rebecca

We considered a few names (Hagrid and Gromit were top contenders) before we settled on Jack - as in, Captain Jack Sparrow. Now I can't imagine having named him anything else because he loves to steal - bookmarks, pens, the bell by the door that we trained him to ring when he needs to go outside, whatever he can get in his mouth. He's so cute when he dashes away with his loot in his mouth and looks at us as if to say, just try to catch me, come on! Then when we catch him he's all lovey and smoochy with us. He's the best little pirate!

So when i got my baby girl i had noooo clue what to name her. My boyfriend, sister and I went through so many names: lily, deliah, cindy, kates, etc etc!! The names were just not her!! It was finally time to go home and I ran the names with my family and still could not decide..All randomly my mom yells from the kitchen how about COOKIE!!! and it just clicked!!
