Dogs are more honest. If they do not like you, you know it right away.
if they love you, you have a friend for life and that is the best friend you will ever have.

TommiGirl, I knew you were kidding, we all know breeders really do not make a profit.
Nor do they breed for profit!

I got the joke about not worrying about them getting pregnant.

Wow, I love my dogs a ton and all, but I think it would damage my relationship with my mother tremendously if she got a dog and loved it more than me. I dont think I would ever want to talk to her again actually. I cannot imagine ever ever loving an animal more than (or even at the same level as) my children

Not trying to bash, I just cannot even wrap my head around it.

I like dogs more than people............I usually say this several times a day. I work in a doctor's office and sometimes people just stress me out!

Animals, people, animals, people..well..I love my family and my pet is my family so he is pretty much part of my family. I love my family (people) but sometimes I prefer things to be simple and when things get too complicated, I resent it as I am pretty simple and I tend to just hide away, have some privacy and spend some time with my dog. So when I am in a bad mood, I only allow my dog in my personal space so I am not sure if that means I like animals better than people. I think its just easier to live with a pet and the relationship is just more simple and pure.

As a whole I prefer dogs to people but that said I love my family more and if in a flood or fire would save the humans first. Of course I would die trying to save my furbabiesif I had to ...

This is a really tough one. My whole family know how much my fur babies mean to me but the always know they come first---I think----

I do know for sure my fur babies are my best friends and I hang out with them for fun

I love my husband (accepts my spoiled babies) and my daughter (also a big dog lover)....but I remember the words my mom (now deceased, also a dog lover) said when I was about 10 years old....

"your husband and your boyfriends might leave you, but that dog never will!"

I definitely like my dog more than a lot of people. I'd prefer to spend time with my dog than most people. What I really love is to spend time with my dog and friends that have dogs. Actually, I don't want real children...my dogs will be my children. Sometimes I think my life revolves around animals and I LOVE IT!

To answer the question...I really thought I was a people person until recently. It seems "people" have been just doing some incredibly strange and annoying things. It's to the point where I can't get home fast enough to see my babies. They seem to make everything just fine.

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
