| How old are they when? How old is a male when his testicles drop? I am asking because Max is constantly trying to mount my female min pin. He is only supposed to be 18 weeks old (?). And i have checked and there is nothing there but then when he gets excited like that there is a little sack there and it is solid like there is something in it. But then when he calms back down it is gone. Is this normal? Sorry if this is a strange question but i have only really ever dealt with little girls.

| testicles They should be there from birth.at first it is hard to feel them because they are so small but at 18wks you should be feeling them. my boy are just a little older and I can feel them ALTHOUGH not to worry some just drop later than others. I would wait till he is a year to be worried and if they are not down then get him neutered as this is a inherited condition that could cause testicular cancer.

| A dog's testicles normally pass through the inguinal canal (out of the abdomen) in the first week of life. They should be in the scrotum by 6 weeks of age (on average). Many small breed males will take a little longer for their testicles to fully descend though.

| His testicles should have been down weeks ago but it does take some maales lnger than others. That is one of the first thing my vet checks when I take my babies for their health checks. |

| I was wondering the same thing! Jamie's 4 1/2 months and his still haven't dropped. When my boyfriend and I took him to the vet, he said he could feel one and that we should hope for the other one to drop. Otherwise, it'd have to be slightly complicated surgery to try and find it! I'm just hoping they'll both drop soon so we can neuter him.

| I just checked him over again real good and i noticed that you are all right they are there hidden in the hair. But when he gets excited they hang lower and are easily visible does that make since? Sorry for being so NEW at this but like i said i am just not used to having a boy furbaby.

| Don't feel bad. I have been worried about my little guy too. I have had male dogs before but they were all large breed with short hair, making "things" very easy to spot. The only time we can spot Gizmo's parts is when he is laying on his back & the hair falls away.
