| Bows for Babies My Chloe is 4 months. Her hair is long enough to stick a bow in, but short enough not too-I bet you know what I mean. Do you use normal bows, barets, bands or what for little babies like this? This is new to me.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I did too with my girls - the trick is do it fast and let them get used to them...some yorkies never like bows - my girls love having their hair done - I used to make a game out of it and LOTS of praise when they're finished - no matter how bad it looks at first - keep trying and don't make it too tight - Good luck - |

| I was in the same boat, luckily we are just passed that stage! But the easiest thing for me was to put her hair in a latex band and then put the bow over that. Its really hard to get the bows to stay in at that point though.

| This is most difficult area for me. I have tried bows, barrettes, every size and shape and they either do not stay or cause matte (sp>) problems. Anyone know of easy types to use/putin/keep in place? I even caught my Chloe biting out Lacey's bow in order to chew it. My fear is losing one and swallowing the thing. |

| Thanks for the replies so far! I use bands in Baxter's hair (he's a boy, and my boys HATE bows in his hair). He has the prettiest hair-I just CANNOT cut it short, so I use bands. He lets me. With my luck, Chloe probably will be the one to not wear bows. I don't get the whole bow thing though-I know that you put bands in and then put the bow over the band, but I don't understand why (I know there is a reason, just not sure why) or how you do it-just the same, but over the band?

| I push the bands attached to the bow down below the plain band and it helps the bow stay in.

| I use bands on Piper's hair and then put the bow over top also. He too is 4 months old. He hates having his hair up. He scratches at it, rolls his head all over the floor...anything he can do to try to get it out, even if I make sure it's not too tight. Or better yet, he plays with my Boxer, Beowulf, who helps to pull it out. Lost one adorable bow this way...still don't know where it is. I think the Boxer ate it

| I just put a band in Lucy's hair for the first time! The first one she scratched and scratched at her head until I just took it out. and then 15 minutes later I tried again and it didn't exactly turn out well.. but at least all that hair is out of her eyes! does anyone happen to have any tips or can see something I did wrong? |

| Mia Star wears the regular kind you get at Feeders Supply or any pet store. Her hair isn't very long yet either but they stay real good. |
