OH THIS MAKES ME SO MAD - SHE IS SELLING BRAND NEW KENNELS - WHILE HER DOGS LIVED IN FILTHY ONES....... SHE IS SELLING HEATED BEADS WHILE THE DOGS IN HER SHOP WERE SAID TO BE LIVING IN POORLY HEATED CONDITIONS AND AUTOMATIC WATER DISHES WHEN HER DOGS DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH WATER!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know anything about that website?? Wondering if she can be reported - so they don't allow listings from her anymore!!

How on earth could someone be that greedy! To sell the sick unhealthy animals all the while also selling items and products that could have improved their living conditions!?! Ugh, I hope she gets one heck of an animal loving judge!

Plea deal reached in Stocker animal neglect case
Will pay fine and not serve jail time

OTTUMWA — Suzette Stocker, the woman whose rural Ottumwa home contained more than 120 dogs and cats when authorities raided it in late February, has pleaded guilty to five counts of animal neglect.

The plea agreement represents a fraction of the original 126 counts she faced. County Attorney Allen Cook said he believes the agreement was the right thing to do.

“The decision was made to arrive at the agreement with due dilligence and taking into account each of the major players and their observations,” he said. “The consensus was that the agreement reached was fair and appropriate given [Stocker’s] circumstances.”

The agreement means Stocker, 60, will pay a fine of $65 plus a 32 percent surcharge. She will not face jail time. Cook said circumstances unique to this case played a role in the decision.

The raid was one of a series of animal neglect cases in the Ottumwa area uncovered in February and March of this year. Donna Marie Rhodes, owner of the Court Hill Pet Palace, pleaded guilty to four charges after police raided the pet store in mid-February. She was fined $700 plus court costs.

Charges are still pending against Donnalee McCoy, 64, of Ottumwa. Police raided McCoy’s property in early March and found more than 80 cats. Most of the cats were euthanized.

A pretrial hearing for McCoy has been set for 9 a.m. April 15 in Wapello County District Court.

The owners should be locked in a 2ft x 2ft cages and don't clean up their waste for 1 year. If they are still alive after that, hang them!

This is what drives me crazy! I don't know why they say this all the time.
Did the owner not know his animals were living in filthy conditions?
They should slap handcuffs on him/her throw them in jail and let them
live the same way as those poor animals. Fine them so much money
they will never be able to open another store in a lifetime. That's the
only way to get these low lifes out of business. IMO

I TOTALLY AGREE ! If our laws were tougher - the fines larger - jail a BIGGER FEAR or mandatory - maybe these lowlifes would get the message. All they do now is open back up till the next tragedy or bust.

We have so much food left over from trying to find something Lexie would eat and brand new bags that the vet gave us with our first visit so hubby said we could ship them to the rescue. I hope that helps make a tiny dent in there burdens. I hate that there are people out there that don't receive consequences for their actions. They are just taught that if they do it again they will have to pay a small fee

oh, I'm sure they would appreciate the food. If you don't send it to them, please find another rescue to give it to. This poor rescue had saved so many animals in the last 2 mths, it is mind boogling. But one raid, led to another, etc, as people finally stepped forward & spoke up
