| It really depends on hair growth. But with Vinnie, he was around thirteen or fourteen weeks when I put in his first, small, topknot. Here's a pic of what it looked like. It stuck forward a bit, and the front bits fell out eventually as he played, but he's now four and a half months and wears one comfortably every day. |

| I started my girls as soon as they had enough hair to hold up. They rip them out for each other which is a real pain, but I love doing their hair. Bella's looks raggedy if it isn't in a ponytail now

| Many people do them as soon as they are able, simply because the pups get used to them quicker that way, but once the hair starts falling into the eyes, obscuring vision and causing irritation, then it becomes more necessary to either put the hair in a topknot, or trim the hair short. |

| I was extremely eager to get Sophie's top knot in and ended up breaking off some of her hair. Now she has a puppy cut and doesn't need her hair up. She never kept the bows or rubber bands in anyway . |

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | This is Li'l Sapphire at 15 weeks. This was the first time she had enough hair for this cute barrette.
