We are extremely excited to be registered to this site today. We are expecting to bring home the next addition to our family on March 15th. This will be our first Yorkie, needless to say, there is quite a huge learning curve. Thank goodness we have some time to get ready! I really appreciate the wonderful advice I've read so far. I'm wondering what websites you may have found most informative in preparing to raise a puppy, or indeed what are some of the most important lessons you might wish to share, given your personal experiences. Everything you need to know and just about everything you want to know can be found somewhere on this forum. There is some great advice from some very experienced people. Nose around and enjoy and be sure to post pics as soon as you get your new furbaby!

First off welcome to YT. I love it here and I hope you do as well.
#1 tip on potty training: Take your new pup to his potty spot the moment you bring it home. Before its little paws touch your floors, be sure it knows where to potty...wait, it may take awhile, but once they potty in the right spot the first time...they learn so quickly. Praise, praise and more praise...let the pup know how pleased you are. Good luck with your new addition to the family. Welcome aboard!!!
