| One of my Puppies has a Pink nose?? Hello, Cheyenne gave birth to 4 beautiful babies on 1/15/08 2 boys and 2 girls. But one of the little girls has a "PINK NOSE" and she is 4 wk's old. I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not? I was hoping if maybe someone could give me some input on it or not? Well her nose is not ALL pink, just a very small area on the bottom of her nose. The rest of them all have a full black nose. Thanks for your help!! Desiree |

| Is it completely or partially pink? Some takes time to turn all black compared to others. Some will stay partially pink all their life. My Bella hasn't fully turned black. Give it time.... I'm no expert, so I don't know if it's something you should be worrying about.

| nose It should darken with time...I would not be concerned unless she has no pigment anywhere..foot pads, eye lids, lips etc...she is young it will most likely be fine especially since it is only a touch pink... |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I think it's okay. My girl had a pinkish nose, now it's still not completely black, it is kinda dark brown. She was born chocolate

| If I'm correct from looking at other posts. I think it was brought up before and it was a pigment thing. I don't think it is of concern unless you plan to show them, Than I think it would be an inperfection. And if I'm wrong, someone can probally help you. |

| Yes, this is correct. It is considered a fault. Sometimes if it is very small it will darken other times not |

| Thank you ALL for your response!! The little girl's nose in pinkish right around her nostril on the bottom of her nose. It not brite pink, but a little pinkish. She has no pigment loss anywhere else on her body. She is black and tan very silky coat. 'JUST ADORABLE' I have been breeding now for a few years and very close to all my furbabies mommie and daddies and none of my babies ever had a light pink nose before. So was very concerned that maybe something was wrong with Cheyenne? Not completely sure why or how this could have happened. I'm glad to have found this site YT you guys are just AWSOME with all your help and advise. I have called the vet and he did'nt seen concerned with it. So maybe it's just me. I'm just worried for her and dont want her to have a problems with this. I dont believe she is SHOW material to begin with but not sure. I only sell my puppies to certain people and I dont think that they have any plans on showing her, so maybe she will be ok if it does not go completely black? |
