For those of us that are new....PLEASE inform us about Petland. I have never seen a store by that name. I have 6 furbabies, lost my Precious yorkie the 4th so I CARE and need to know about these things! Thansk so much! :eek:

Petland is a National Pet Store that sells puppies. It's one of the largest purchasers of Puppy Mill puppies - Go here to read about Mills and Petstores http://stoppuppymills.org/

There is a TON of information on the net regarding mills - and if you type Petland - There is a major effort to get them to stop selling puppies -

Whattya think? Do you suppose that radio station has ever been in the sights of a bunch of such caring persons as we?? Probably will call Petco and ask what the heck is going on!!!!

I did call and left messages - got transfered but will try the other numbers but their voicemail will be full when I finish - I'm having my husband leave messages too -

Chances are they are going to think that we're PETA! Speaking of, have they been contacted? I know that people have mixed view of PETA, but in this case, they could help us out.

I hope they don't think we're Peta. I specified in my e-mail that I am not affiliated with them because I didn't want them to think I was for personal reasons.

Oh no - Peta people are NOT like us - I even stressed in my message on the phone that I'm NOT a fanatic - There's lots of people out there that are aware of Petland - just like there's many NOT aware - I just told them that if they continue to promote Petland - I'll no longer listen to their station.

Another Petland hater here too. My husband was thrown out of Petland after going round for round to get the AKC papers for our Charlie. I didn't know then what I know now or would have never bought from a petstore. However, I was lucky and Charlie is perfect. I'll do my part!
