I absolutely LOVE the chocolates! Where does a person find one???? Do they have any different health issues than standard Yorkies?

all of our chocolates have been just fine and healthy. I am seeing more and more chocolates around here (tennessee) in the past few months than ever before. my aunt has got i think 4 or 5 but she raises them.

I am trying to convince my parents let me get a chocolate yorkie! It has to be in Kansas and less than $2,000 though. If I find a really cute one than I might be able to convince them! I have found one in Kansas before but it was $3,500! CAN YOU BELEIVE THAT!

Yes, sadly there are many people out there who purposely breed this fault and then charge outrageous prices for them marketing them as "rare." It happens too frequently. But, apparently there are people willing to pay it or the trend wouldn't continue, so they are just as much to blame.

I would have to really struggle to pay that much for a top of the line, proven Ch show dog myself.

I have read several things about the chocolate yorkies, and it all has said they people will try and sell them for a higher price and say they are rare but everything that I have read says that they are not rare like you would think (one of a kind rare) that they actually are a breeding flaw. I am not saying this to hurt anyone or make anyone mad, that is what I have read. One of the articles even had a warning about breeders trying to sell them at top dollar because they said they were a special breed, which is not true..I think they are really cute but they should not be priced higher than a regular yorkie. I have also read that you are not suppose to breed them......
