| Cottony Hair after first haircut grew out So I guess this is it - we have the cottony grade hair which is so soft and cuddly, but when I got his "report card" from the groomer she could already tell his hair wanted to get snarly. Any chance I could still let it grow out like a traditional yorkie? the puppy cut was adorable by the way, i just never got around to taking pics. |

| If it is truly cottony, you can let it grow, but be prepared to brush at least once a day (if not more). I personally don't have the patience for a long cottony coat. I have found, though, that it is usually ok to have it longer around the face for that Yorkie look, while keeping the body fairly short. |

| I would say yes, but you would have to really keep up on baths and brushing, and i suggest really good shampoo and conditioner. We tried everything on Vinnie and the Paul Mitchell Dog Line works the best. Never brush without wetting the coat or even using a spray conditioner, like the Paul Mitchell Oatmeal leave-in, it comes in a spray and is fabulous on Vinnie's Hair!

| Chewy is a cotton coat... I brush him ever other day at least... Most days every day. He takes about 5 minutes a day. I grew his coat out just a little bellow his belly and loved it... But it started getting just a tiny bit knotty, (Little knots here and there...) and I cut his hair. but I think I want to grwo it back out because when he would walk with it longer, the hair would move with him and it was really cute! Here's pucs with the puppy cut. Hs hair is about an inch and a half long. No knots if i spend 5 min a day. 1 bath a week.... I love it.

| That is exactly how bailey's hair looks when its wet. I hope it could actually grow to be that long and pretty, but he is so rough - climbing under the couch, rolling over, etc. Gorgeous color though.... |

| I hope that is what I can look forward too with a cottony coat. How long did it take to grow out that long? |
