Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I have two Yorkies who don't get along great themselves. Then I got a Lab who loves Yorkies and grew up with them. Our household is happier than ever. The Lab likes the smaller Yorkie and is just tough enough to stand up to the bigger, more aggressive Yorkie.

| Ok because I have a choc lab and a yorkie. They have only been together for a short time but my lab is always great he never growls or barks at the yorkie. The yorkie doesnt growl or bark either but she runs around him a bit. I always make sure I am in the room and holding the lab for now. He lets he jump a bit and he moves around if she runs behind him. Will these two breeds be ok I think so far they are fine I just wanted to know how many other people have this mix of dogs in there home. Thankyou so much because you have the exact combo. Is there anyone else like this? |

YT 2000 Club Member | I own 2 boxers (both males) one is about 8 years old now, the other is about 4 years old. I also own a german shorthair pointer mix, she is about 8 years old and they all love Maggy May and she loves them as well. She is only 11 weeks old right now and I don't let her around them by herself, I actually only let her around them one at a time and with me supervising right there on the bed or floor WITH them, as one swat from a dog their size could seriously injure or kill her. Maggy May has tried to nurse off of my german shorthaired pointer thinking it was her Momma and my GSP didn't mind at all, she let her do it and bathed her all the while, lol. These four get along wonderfully.

| I have 2 shihtzus and a maltipoo. I just got Izzy a couple of days ago and my female shihtzu Lola, loves her. The other 2 are not being terribly welcoming. They growl a little at her if she gets overly nosey with them. They will get over it though, they were the same way when Lola first adopted us.

| ok so i dont feel so bad because people were starting to make me feel like I was crazy for getting the yorkie. I love her so much already. Now my lab has been spending more time in his crate for now just until she is better with getting around the house and behaving around him. He doesnt mind being in his crate as long as he has a bone or something. The crate is right in the middle of all of the house activity though and we take him out often for walks. he spends a few hours a day and sleeps in there. I cant let him loose at night he gets into alot. The yorkie sleeps in my room in the crate. |

| We had a pug up until Sept. when he passed from cancer. They got along fine. My yorkie wanted more to do w/the pug then vise versa but Im sure that was because the pug was not feeling so well!
