| As long as they are healthy and well cared for, a yorkie can live to be 15-20 years.

| A friend of mine, had her beloved Yorkie Minnie, for 18 happy and healthy years. She was just a little 4 #er. Like MyFairLacy said, "As long as they're healthy and cared for", who knows!! |

| Our first yorkie Kenji lived to be 18 and never had any health issues. When we made the decision to put him down the vet asked if we were sure because his heart was still strong. He was for the most part healthy but we made the decision to put him down when his back kept giving out. It never lasted long but when it happened he was in a lot of pain. It was a really tough decision but Kenji was our first baby and I couldnt see him suffer for a minute out of my selfishness to keep him. Kassie will be ten in July and we know she will not live as long as Kenji, it sounds crazy but we just know.

| Average life expectancy of a yorkie is 12-15 years..some of course don't live that long and some live well past that |
