| Just a quick intro Hi I'm new here! I just got a yorkie last wed, his name is Chewie and he's 6 mo. old. He's not neutered yet but I'm thinking about it. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y23...ies/chewie.jpg I have 2 other dogs, 1 is a Jack Russell and the other is a mixed breed. They both tolerate Chewie but honestly, if they were aggressive towards him, I would get rid of those 2 and keep Chewie. He is already so attached to me and is such a good boy! I have to go to work now.. my boss has a yorkie too, hers is smaller (about 3 lbs, Chewie is 6 1/2 lbs) and they play together while we work.

| Welcome to yt..as far as "thinking" about neutering Chewy..they make much better pets when they've been neutered A neutered dog will not be susceptible to testicular or prostate cancer, Neutering nearly eliminates the risk of perineal hernias, and penile tumours, A neutered dog will not be as inclined to wander the streets and risk being hit by a car. Neutered dogs are much happier when their hormone levels are not raging. Neutered males will show a drastic decrease in the desire to mark territory. This includes inside the house. So, you see the good sides of neutering? Not using for show or breeding, you may get to have your little Chewy with you longer.. |

| Hi Jen! I love the name Chewie. It's really nice that you both have yorkies and they can play together at work. Great way to socialize them, too. Hope you enjoy YT!

| Welcome Jen and Chewie!! You've come to the right place, there is nothing better than reading about the escapades of our Yorkies. Only thing better is cuddling them. |

| Congrats on Chewie but I think that would be horrible if you got rid of your other dogs!! Hopefully they will all play together nicely. I'm sure if you neuter him it will be a lot better too.
