| Just found this listed as a Biewer for sale.... Here is a photo of a listing for a Biewer puppy for sale. Looks totally standard to me. Am I wrong to assume that a Biewer doesn't look like a standard as a pup? It says the father was a Biewer...that may be true, but this pup doesn't seem to have got that gene....let me know if I am mistaken. This is what is says with the photo: Beautiful, cute, smart F1 Biewer Yorkie males for sale. $1500.00 each neutered or $2000.00 each intact with full registration papers. BYA Registered. Sire is German Imported Biewer Yorkie. |

| he just look like my little Lexus when she was a pup with the white chest. She also had it under her chin and her hind legs.If that's a Biewer than my Lexus must be one too since she got more white than he does. But I'm no expert.

| He is an F1 hybrid. A pup from a Biewer and Yorkshire Terrier. They carry the piebald gene that gives the Biewer their coloring. I'm still not 100 % sure why some breeders are doing it this way - I've read that it has to do with health issues but don't know why they wouldn't just get two healthy Biewers to breed.

Well I am a Biewer breeder who is getting all her ducks in a row. I personally don't agree with cross breeding. I think it takes away the authenticity of the Biewer. The puppy is cute..it's a Yorkie puppy!!! But I don't think calling it a Biewer is appropriate! again!! JMHO!! Hugs, Irene

| Technically speaking... Quote:
the Biewer standard describes something totally different than the markings on this puppy. That's why I feel sticking to the standard is the way to go. Now where does it mention white on the chest. On a side note..I just got my IBC membership care and letter of acceptance. WhoooHOOOO!! Hugs, Irene

| This puppy could be indeed as advertised, unfortunately. There are a lot of F1 and F2 hybrids coming into the market place. The Biewers are just coming of breeding age..I think it is so sad to advertise those puppies the way they do. For someone who has not educated themselves, that looks like a good deal. One of the main members of a Biewer club in this country has advertised Hybrids since last year. I contacted her just to make sure I was reading the ad correctly. These clubs are not registries.... I personally see no reason for breeding standard colors and Biewers and selling the babies as hybrids but it is not against any rules..I guess they have different ethics than I do. The market is gonna explode within a couple of years with Biewers..IMO |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I agree Rini - It's already starting...it's sad that so many people are going to be not knowing what they're doing and indiscrimately breeding - I know it must break your heart. |
