| I applaud (sp) all of you who breed. I would be a puddle of never ending tears if I had to let them all go. It takes a strong person to breed.

| how to sell babies When I called my breeder she really put me thru the wringer,I never asked how much$ for a puppy, but she informed me that I had to have a puppy savings account and proof of it,for $1,500.00 after cost of puppy, that she didnt let her babies go to anyone that couldn't afford to give them the proper care a,d that we never know what these little snots can get into..When I picked the first one up, she asked to see the savings book, then sold us our baby, sence then I have bought 3,but only the first required a savings account, now I just make sure I have it |

| [QUOTE=YorkieRose]There are days I could put a sign in the yard...."Free Yorkies, adults and puppies".. Pat, I had to laugh reading that. I confess I've felt the same way like when I have a new hole in my dry wall or in the middle of the night I step on a little terd that didn't make it to the pee pad ..lol..But then I look at them and the all stop and look at me like 'What..???' God love'em!! Irene |

| I don't know how often it happens but I don't want Sunshine to get pregnant because I'm afraid she would die giving birth. Breeders themselves are a special breed! I'm thankful for them.

| I am so thankful for all honest, downhome, loving breeders. What would we do without them! I for one would be a lonely momma, with only human babies. It takes a special person who cares about dogs to actually care what happens to their babies. My sister breeds American Bull Dogs in TN and when she has a litter she makes folks give her their life history. Because just as there are puppymills there are buyers who aren't much nicer. She was snowballed a few times and learned this the hard way. I thank god for loving, caring breeders! It is like nursings and soldiers-we need them but I could never be one!

Wow! She is beautiful- such an angelic face. I've often thought about how difficult it would be to give away puppies after you've helped raise them. Just out of curiosity- how long do the yorkie moms "mourn" after you sell one of their babies? | |

| My mothers show little signs of being upset. Perhaps, because they leave a bit later..if they left at 7/8 weeks, I do think they would react more. Around 7/8 weeks they start spending more and more time away from them...they jump up on a couch or chair so they can not get to them.. by 12/16 weeks they seem fine...at least I have never had a mother pine away and not eat..sometimes they will look in the puppy bed and then go back to what they were doing. |
