| First off I did not know that when a dog has her period she is in heat. I came to learn that when my friend and I were talking and next thing you know they were connected. I immediately called my sister because she has a Chihuaha who has had puppies and I asked her what should I do because my dog was connected to another dog. That is when she informed me to leave them alone and they will disconnect when they are done. She also told me that my dog may become pregnant as a result of this. I was a little scared at first but then I thought I did want to get another Yorkie, but from all the things I have read on the internet it really scares me. I work during the day and by the time I get out the vet is closed and I do not have anyone to take her for me right now. My family has gone away on vacation for two weeks. When I told the owner of the stud that she may be pregnant she said that she would like pick of the litter and I said fine. Anyway I will keep everyone posted I have a huge headache. Bye. |

| Dee I still dont get it...the owner of the stud wants pick of the litter LMAO...as you said this was an accident not an intentional breeding. Accidents happen!

| I knew my baby had her period but I did not know that they will get connected at this time. Like I said a while ago my friend and I were busy talking and when we looked around the house we found them connected. Well we have one more day to find out. Hopefully she is not pregnant. I will probably start searching for a smaller stud because I do plan to breed her (on her next heat cycle which will be the 3rd) so that I can have another Yorkie around the house. Now that I have learned so much about mating these beautiful animals. I will keep everyone who has read my postings updated. I will be back tomorrow throughout the day. Bye for now. |

| Dee - either way, now you are so much better prepared. Everyone has to start sometime. I thought I knew a lot about this stuff. But my two were only 14 months when Zowie was in heat. I was silly enough to listen to a friend of mine who told me that Bronx was too young to know what to do. It was just easier for me to believe her than to separate them for a week. Now I have 5 beautiful bouncing babies that will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. I have done a lot of studying over the past 4 months and everything has worked out well. My problem now is that I have 7 dogs and can't let them go. No one has been able to tell me how not to love them all so much.
