miller Kelly..you are lucky not to have been shot. On the commerical breeders site they take pride in telling how many trespassers, animal rights people they have shot at..seriously!!! Thank you for comfirming what anyone with common sense already knew...dirty or clean, a puppy factory is a mill. With 100's of adults to retire in 30 yrs of their operation, they perhaps found homes for 10%...and that is out of the millers mouths..the rest are shot..and that is out the millers mouths. None of these dogs are AKC..do not fall for the reason they breed mixes..they breed them as to avoid AKC inspections. I will not post anymore to this thread as I do not want to continue another fight. Thank you, Kelly for caring. |
Great detective work. I admire you for taking such chances. Hopefully the dogs will be placed in loving homes and the owners will be going to the big house. Keep us posted on the outcome. |
If I lived closer I would go back with you. I would keep going back until they were all free or the owners put up a system, that keeps people out. You could always snip their power lines that might give you more time...I am just joking. I hate seeing animals suffer, they deserve so much more than that. Good Job and good luck. |
Kelly - please be careful and do not get shot or arrested. Freeing the puppies will only give them more problems. Who will feed them. I know you are sorta kidding, but sometimes things can get out of hand. |

OMG! :omg: People who runs these mills totally disgust me! They are evil, selfish people, and I hope to god that you and your friend can get something done about it. Think about it...just by closing down this one mill can possilby save a couple hundred dogs lives. And place them in much better living conditions. There really should be a law regarding breeding and constantly selling puppies! There is a mill out close to where I live....I've never been to it, but have heard about it. That lady is only into breeding for the cash! I dispise people like that - they have no regard for another living creature!!!! I wish that there was something that I could do. |

I hope this doesn't sound stupid, but...Why is it so difficult to get puppy mills shut down? Is it because politicians and goverment officials don't feel like puppymills are a good cause for their time/resources? I would think that the scene Kelly described could only be classified as major animal abuse. I never hear anything in the local news about puppymills, so I've never heard of any of the consequences of running a mill. Is there a site that talks about what happens to millers after they're caught? I'd like to read more about this. |

http://www.yorkielane.com/stoppuppymills.htm I must have read every day for a month I was so upset. I had never SEEN or heard of a mill till we got Tessa 10 years ago - and even THEN I didn't really know about the horrors. There are many good sites that detail why it's so hard to stop them and how we all can do our small part to help. Our Government has LOTS of work to do to combat this problem better - it starts there... but it won't get better until people really take the time to add their voice. |
That was an awesome thing for you do!!!!! I would send or call someone at the newspaper in your area, maybe they would do a story on them. Im going to call you and recon the yorkie talk mod squad!!!!!! |

Kelly, thank you so much for checking this place out. From looking at the site so many of us knew it was a puppy factory or mill, it's a shame you had to witness it in person to prove us all right. I hope you will be able to get the smell and sights out of your mind, I am sure it was a hard thing to go through. |
I am very proud of you expecially with all the "personal" issues you are going through now...it is just disgusting what these animals have to live through.... I am glad that we as a group are able to take a stand against puppy mills!!! I have sent letters to representatives in Pennsylvania stating that I will not visit or spend any of my money there as a result of their puppy mills and that they need to further investigate..I also sent letters to members of senate..they provide letters on many "stop puppymill" sites..and I always get a generic answer about how they are doing the best they can with the amount of "inspectors" they have but I think that is B.S.!!! and if we are going to do something it will have to be by hurting the millers bottom line and the bottom line of pet stores that sell animals!!!! |
WAY TO GO Lily - I did those same things and I felt that way too - but I just kept on - 90% or more of puppies Pet Stores sell are bought from mills and if we can tell people don't shop Pet Stores for animals, we are cutting off the reason for mass breeding and we can slowely get this country united against the cruelty - Very good work....every little bit helps. :D |
Thank you for taking the time to go and see the place. I know that you must really care when you have so many personal problems. I hope that they will be caught and that something is done about this animal cruelty. Again thanks! |
