bird seed question Does anyone out there know if bird seed is bad for Chunk and his 3 siblings. I have 2 birds and my little ones somehow always manage to eat the bird seed. I see them sticking there tongues into the bottom of the birdcages. This morning I was cleaning up after the dogs and I noticed their poop was covered in bird seed. This actually makes my life a little easier because I don't have dropped bird seed on the floor to clean up after. If the bird seed is bad for them I need to figure out how I'm going to seperate the birds from the dogs. Chunk's mom A righteous man regards the life of his animal... Proverbs 12:10

| CoCo eats the sunflower seeds that my cockateil throws down. It doesn't seem to do her any harm. Sheilagh

My alexandrine parrot Asia throws out all the stuff he doesn't like onto the floor so the dogs get seed ,pellets, fruits and vegies to snack on daily.I'v always said that if I had known the secret to clean floors was getting a dog ,I would have gotten a dog years ago ! HAHA! Eileen

The bird seed won't heart them, but i'd be real carfull they weren't liking up the dropings along with the seed also be carefull if there are dryed rasins in the bird food as these are toxic to dogs.

re: bird seed Thanks for all who responded. It's good that I don't have to worry about the bird seed but we'll be careful about the bird poop. Chunk's mom
