Chocolate Parti Yorkies Does anyone know where I can find a chocolate parti yorkie??? |
i think its one or the other |
I've heard of chocolate yorkies and I've heard of parti yorkies, but I have to say that I've never heard of chocolate parti yorkies  |
I'm not even sure thats possible... lol. Because a Chocolate one is a Chocolate one... and a Parti one, is a Parti one... |
Yes they do exist....I have one. I'm looking for a stud. |
I'd love to see a picture of it... :) I don't believe I've ever seen any that were mixed like that... just because a Chocolate one is all brown and dark brown, and a Parti one is partially white and then looks like a regular Yorkie in the face... So... if you could show me a picture, Id love to see how your baby looks... Arigatou... I can see your avatar, just not very well... |
They do exist and are called a "Biro". Here is a link to a website of a breeder in Germany that has Biro's. http://www.beepworld.de/members54/bi...nch/bilder.htm Maybe this breeder can be helpful in your search for a puppy. Good luck! Karen |
I'm trying to upload a pic. Sorry, I'm new to this. |
Click the little attachment clip, then pick the pic in the window, close the window, go back to the attachment clip, and it will show the pic in there, and select it... it will go into the message. |
My files are too big. 1.5MB. I can email you a pic. |
Wow I never saw this.......thanks for the link...they make em all I guess  (no offense) |
Interesting !!!!!! pooh's mum |
They are soooooo cute! |
I agree, they are intesting... I actually googled it and saw a few... I think theyre cuter with long hair... :D |
1 Attachment(s) Maybe this worked |
Very interesting. Not my cup of tea. Cute though. |
Yours is a lot cuter than the ones on the site, prolly cause its fuzzier... I like fuzzy lol. Those ones will prolly be cute too once they grow some hair... |
interesting... |
Interesting. Choc normally lack a certain gene right? So do they breed them to be this way with the parti? |

GG3, thats what we call our little Roxanna too... Foxy Roxy... lol |
you have to have the chocolate gene and the parti gene in both parents to produce this color. But even still...its like a 1 in 4 chance of getting one. You can get black/tan, chocolate/tan, black tan parti, or chocolate white parti when both parents have both genes. These dogs originated in germany and are called Biro over there. |
??? Hmmm... idk... sounds kinda wild. I wonder how that place got so many then...?? |
My female is coming into heat very soon and I need a stud. But there are only 4 biros in the states that I know of and they are all girls! |

:( I was hoping I'd get lucky and someone would have one in the states. |
The answer to that question depends on who is answering it. The ACH-L in Germany (aka IBC) says that the name "Biro" is given to represent the color. Others will tell you they are a seperate breed. Think about for a minute....if you breed an AKC Chocolate Yorkie to an AKC Parti Yorkie. Do this with two different breeding pairs and keep a puppy from each litter. Breed those two dogs together (they carry the chocolate gene and the parti gene) and you get a combination of 4 colors (black-tan, chocolate-tan, black-tan-parti, and chocolate-white-parti). Now, are they 4 different breeds??? Or just different colors? They are all littermates and all yorkies. Its just a matter of color genetics. |
I think thats wild... So they breed them just to get that one dog?? |
I am not an expert on yorkies. I would think that this dog would be considered as a hybrid, designer dog the next thing that Britney would be taking home. If the dog lacks a gene WHY breed it just for a differ look. I love the classic yorkie look. Why not love a yorkie for what it is (size, color etc). |
i want a yorkie of every color :) i love them all hehehe though the standard is my all time fav!!! |
